I had something weird happen to me a while back. To Monks blind invite me - and I accept just to see what they're up to. Next thing I know we are in Underworld and they are not responding to anything I ask them. Now they both died really quickly, so I don't get that. Than we go back - I was about to leave - than all of the sudden we're back in again. They die again - still not saying anything. Weird - I just left, but not sure what that was about....

Good thing I always discuss builds with the other monks before going into something like FoW or Tombs- I think a couple minutes of talking at an unresponsive person would be a pretty big hint that he's a bot. (And no, I don't do the evil that is Barrageway.)
I'm counting the days until ANet puts a Kephet-like botkiller in Talus Chute... Droks Int 1 is crazy, just bots running in and out of Talus and spamming Local with trade offers in Chinese.

Bots really do get on my nerves. But if you guys are ever bored, and decided to screw with them... go to Drok's int 1, wait at the town door, and invite one of these "suspicious" looking monk names into your party. Sooner or later, when one of these monks join your party, jump outside to Talus Chute immediately, if they're truly a bot, they will automatically begin the mending, balthazar spirit, and protective spirit process. If they decide to go ahead and farm, cast Vital Blessing on them and screw up their 55 hp. Once they're dead, continously ressurect them, with only 1 hp left they die again instantly again and again. As long as you have this bot dead on the floor, he's not out ruining someone else's game. Sooner or later he'll just map out, but not for a while. When he does, go back to town, rinse and repeat.
Then again, you have to be really, hellishly bored to do this. But I tell ya, it was fun to watch a bot getting slaughtered again and again. They have no idea how to stop you from casting Vital Blessing on them.
Of course we could've just reported them, but since Anet isn't getting rid of these bots any sooner, I'd figured disrupting this bot's farming run might just help other people find legitimate monks easier. Imagine if all that anti-bot protestors did this instead, imagine if everyone did this instead...

Its true, they normally dont, and they just run outside to solo. But sometimes these bots would just stand there spamming their jibberish sales:
"wo mai jin wu chi 3k"
That's when you invite them, they'll think you're a potential customer and accept your invitation. When they do, jump outside, since those stupid botters cant tell the difference between sales mode and farm mode, they automatically go into soloing mode casting all the enchantments and darting off to get killed
Sometimes you might get an asian farmer instead, they might try to say something thats impossible to read, but believe it or not, they act pretty much bottish too. Once outside they too go into soloing mode. Which is best that you follow them closely behind, and WAIT until the last second before they enter combat, do you cast Vital Blessing on them! It's like saying "SUPPLIES!" lol.

Ok got a bot to join me, watch her solo arcavia and all the trolls. Then came the giants, she follow me like a hench.I broke aggro and Giants owned her.I'am thinking the knockdowns prevented her from casting Prot Spirit.Gonna try this again later but very strange overall.

Maybe they wanted you to res them or something, and they died to lower their HP. That's gotta be a pretty terrible bot though imo. If it wastes 1k over and over on the off-chance that the random invite will res them :P

Thank you I managed to do the Vital Blessing thing once to a bot after random inviting all the ones that were running at the door, but it's good to know there is a strategic way to ruin their farming faster

Holy heavens I never thought about trying this. Here I always steered clear of bots because of what they stood for. But now that you guys point this out, I could have some real fun with these things lol! I hereby decree this...... BOT KITING!!!!! unless of course anybody else has a better definition
this sounds almost as fun as that WOW video where some guys kited a high level monster all the way back to a newbie town to watch the carnage bwahahaha

LOL!! Now watch. You'll start seeing a huge group of bots next to the door at droks... right next to a large line of live players waiting their turn in line to leech off of them. Either that or:
Random farmer: "Who's that with you in your party right now?"
Random farmer#2: "Oh? Him? That's my bot companion. He's been my personal slave for awhile now. He doesn't talk much, but he farms like no tomorrow!"
