got a 16 armor, req 9 tactics gold skull shield. IDed it and it came out to be quick recovery to crippling. Also got a gold hammer and it came out to be +17% dmg to Charr.

1. Sword with only mod 10/10 sundering = Iron Ingots.
2. Sword with 3:1 Vamp and another mod = Iron Ingots.
3. Sword with +30 HP fort mod = Iron Ingots.

Hi,

Most of my unluckiest things have to do with disconneting at the worst times (Err=7).

1) Was on an unbelievable run in FoW. I got 3-shards before finishing the first quest. By the time we got to the Forge. I have collected 2-golds and 2-obsidian key drops. Just when we entered the forge and started attacking I saw another gold drop for me...Err=7

2) The Halloween Special with the damn Pumpkin King. I had the opportunity to be present twice when he showed up...but never got the Pumpkin Hat!!! The first time, I had someone 'whisper' me about an item I was selling so I left my home server LA...and that clown never did show up in the International LA to trade. Ok. So now I wait 3 more hours on a work night just so I can get my Pumpkin Hat. Great the Mad King comes again. I do all the little dances and tricks. We ge to the Simon Says part. The Mad King says, 'Flex' and so I /flex...and once again Err=7. It's now 03.30 and I have a meeting right away in the morning at work...mad as hell I was.

3) Due to a problem with my mouse I ended up bying 5 or 6 Expert Salvage kits. When I only wanted one.

But the worst is always Err=7

That probably is closer to qualifying as stupid than unlucky, but since you were a noob at the time, it's debatable.

I did the same thing with a silver dye once, not because I didn't realize what it was, but because I was selling a bunch of stuff to the merchant, and clicked the sell button too fast when the dye was the item. heh. But selling a black dye by accident is order of 10 magnitude worse than selling a silver by mistake...

Was on a FoW run when a Obsidian Shard run drops for another player, we get creamed and all die except for a monk. We already had DP on us, but the monks runs away and comes back to res the poor guy with the shard on the hill. Rez's him, he runs for it, and gets killed again. Monk runs away again, rez's him again, the guy gets killed again. We were at 60% DP so I said bye, he may still be there trying to get his shard for all I know....

Sold an unidentified Gold Req. 8 FellBlade for 3 ecto (way below market price but I hate cruising LA for hours on end).

Turned out it was +%15 stance.

I also sold COUPLE of black dyes to merchant when I first started (told my friend after selling to ask what it do... he was going nucking futs) -agreed... more of a nub mistake than unlucky

got a gold short bow drop from lvl 18 drakes on a 4 or 6(i don't remember) man pt.. IDed it.. WOOT perfect 10/10 sundering and +30hp fort! req8 15%^50%! .....OH WTF? 14-27dmg... tried exp salvage... got 12 wood planks... doh

Yep me 2. Sold 2 black dyes in pre because of lagg. Keep clicking nothing happened then half my inventory disappeared. Almost needed a new screen!

Black Dye was dropped during a quest, assigned to me ofcourse, and my internet chose to lag out and eventually disconnect, by which time I had kicked my CPU and punched my monitor

Also, I went to delete an character, and totally forgot to transfer the money over to another character before deleting... about 20 platinum gone... more of a stupid mistake than unlcuky, but still...

None of this is really unlucky, just dumb on my part.

1) I wanted to buy ectos in bulk once sellers hit 11k (average of price was 12k) but instead they only climbed. I eventually caved in and bought at 13.5-14k.

2) I never realised how lucky I was getting two of my characters through Thunderkeep on first try. On my other two characters I have played Thunderkeep 15+ times with only one succeeding.

3) Bought all 5 monk sup runes at the peak of their price. I've sunk at least 200k+ into my solo monk only to have A.net come out with the aoe nerf. I'm not too worried though, I still like Monking PvE and PvP. I also found out that solo farming was mind excruciatingly boring and only did it 2-3 times.

Theres only about 2 (to 3) of the boss spawns that are practical to get too.

I'm having same trouble with Arrowing trying for Practiced Stance.

Got my first (and only) Superior Absorption Rune drop.
Got so excited at the prospect of all that cash (I'm really poor), sold it to the trader for 85k.
Blew the 85k on 15k tats for my monk, then decided I preferred the 1.5k tats.
Salvaged the 15k tats for scrap, then ...

... decided what I really wanted was a Superior Absorption Rune for my Warrior.

What a prune!
