Is it "sabotage" or just stupid?
Alright, I just went through Saltspray beach 3 times in a row and lost (on the Kurzick side). Was it because of bad tactics? No. Leavers? Not even close. It seems that a new trend is starting with people coming over to one side and killing themselves over and over with stuff like BiP and Infuse Health to help the opposite faction. One game had about 4 people doing this, and no they weren't doing it to make minions. Now I realize that the people who do this think it's clever...but it seems pretty immature to me.
I guess this won't be as much of a problem when Factions is officially released and people become permanently aligned with one side or the other, but I don't know all the details yet. I just hope this isn't an indicator of what is to come. I enjoy being able to do missions with my guild mates because I don't run the risk of getting paired up with some random idiots who will ruin the game...and if stuff like this is happening in the beta, I can only imagine the wonderful things that are to come.
Thoughts? Comments?

Many people that have never played the game were online this weekend. So it could be ignorance.
However, once you've choosen a side you probably can't battle for the other side.

Same happent to me, I was Kurzick and there was a Kurzick Luxon (that's what I call them) on the Luxon side. He wasn't wearing any armor so it was extremely easy to kill him. He admit it he liked doing that and he had a name like "Luxon sux".

Actually, all it takes is you talking to the opposing NPC and you can warp to the other area.

well i just hope that they dont make it so you *HAVE* to take a side, and cannnot be a neut at all, just because of some dropkick that wants to be a spy or sabotur for the fun of it...
sheesh, people, its a game.
if it was real, like poitics or war, i can understand it (though i wouldnt condone it)
but its a G.A.M.E.........just pick a side and have fun, or dont pick a side, dont get 100% of the map and sell to both sides for a nice but modest profit ^^

I see this as a major problem for the upcoming Factions chapter. Imagine if you're Luxon and you want access to an Elite Quest that can only be unlocked if your side has control over an island however the red/blue line shows your side isn't in control of it. In order to get access you go to the Kurzick side and start sabotaging their Alliance battles.
And also we'll just have plain idiots who will do it to help their own side. This is going to be a serious problem and could ruin the PvP experience for many people. Therefore there should be steps taken to prevent this, eg. if you choose to become Luxon then you're not allowed to change sides for 2 weeks.

Its a problem with any game that has sides like this.... and it may suprise you to know that..omg.. it happens in real life wars as well :O
its er... called.. what was it, ah yes... WAR
Is it a tactic that will ultimatley decide the fate of the war... no because there will be people on BOTH sides doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING!..
lol

Alliance battles will be Alliance based for joining and not Faction based. i.e. you still pick to play on the kurzick or luxon side but only play 12v12 with people from your alliance. So this should dissapear.

lol...
I think the running around screaming thing is just to stay in keeping with the theme....
I loved that video on the Hatchery..."daaamn predictable Kurzicks"..
now cmon.. there isnt REALLY that much difference between the two is there?.. there is no more benefit to be with one side than another, so noone can really say "kurzick suck"..or whatever, because there is no reason behind it.
Its just the same as supporting your country in the World Cup, or in the Olympic games... just the same as saying "my car is better than yours"..
its all harmless fun.

well your wrong here, its so easy to switch sides and try the other teams 'stuff' as you call it...
Its not like WoW where if your Alliance you cant even speak to the Hoard.
I think they've done it very well and I look forward to trying both sides.

Yeah this was very annoying and you have to wonder about some people.
Had 'I am half baked' doing it repeatedly.
Bad enough a dumbazz took up a slot doing nothing for us but also repeatedly upping the oppositions score to boot. Yay.

Good grief, not you again. Here you go again trying to justify griefing with some real life acts of crime. I remember a while ago you tried to justify team killing in GW too by arguing that in real life there were suicide bombers who infiltrated societies so it's okay to do it in GW or something stupid like that.

I think if the battles are always 3 random teams of 4 then 'spy' teams will be RAMPANT. wahts easier than spending time beating hte competition? undermine it from teh beginning so that you can walk all over people. I am hoping that people did this because of the joke that random teams is and if they do away with random teams they will do away with sabatours

QFT. You won't have to worry about "spies" unless your guild allies with guilds that are griefers.

there are spys. that have codewords... if they see the code word in public chat they know that the opposing team is their allies and they do sabotage the mission. i have seen it in many ways... Continually attacking the base defenses with minions, Allied Spirit killing... Even leaving in masses to make the teams unequal... I even did it a few times myself to prove a point...
I think this will be reworked a little by only having you play the side which your alliance is allied with for the fort and quarry style matches. If you try to join a side your alliance is not affiliated with, you will be kicked from the random match on join, and replaced with a henchmen. that kind of thing...
we will see... I'll work up an official proposal on code suggestion for this situation once I catch some more sleep. after 50 hrs of event gaming this weekend my mind is still not fully recovered. lol

It's just stupid, end of story. Don't give me the "All's fair in War" Garbage. In WAR you can cull out traitors/spies before a major battle, here you can't. You have no means to retaliate against a spy, you just have to take it.
I have to say the Kurzicks were heavily prone to sending spies, honorable combat my ^%@. Though I'm quite sure a good number of luxons are guilty to, I don't support any of them, they're all stupid, immature people. This needs to be addressed now.
P.S. we're not supposed to post names, even though I got a few.

Yea, sabatuers are very annoying. Fortunately, as far as suiciders, I only encountered one. A R/Me, using EoE with enough sup runes to suicide by using Illusion of Weakness. :/ What was really annoying is the entire team (mine) quit.
