I'm not an ass. I'm just one person with an opinion on the subject. I'm not a criminal here. I have freedom to think what I want, and the opinion was pertinent, so I posted it.

It's the media's fault young girls have eating disorders and all that. Not individuals. That's just crazy feminism.

However, I admit I worded it poorly. I meant to say that was what I found attractive in other women.

Zeroed has a good point. The deal applies to both the men and women in this game... It's all extremes and stereotypes. Which also happens to be popular and quite helpful for the sales... How much has the necro chick on the cover raised the sales? 20%? 40%? 60%?

You have the right to your opinion and I have the right to be angry at your opinion.

And i wasnt meaning to point to you as a direct cause to a specific person. But rather people with a similar mindset of "beauty only in perfection".

It is your loss, if you do not find beauty in every form.

Personally, I think both types are quite gorgeous.

Incidentally, I disagree with the perspective that the Dev are putting their fantasies on screen. Keep in mind that software companies have MARKETING PROFESSIONALS -- whose job is to make sure that what they put on screen fits the fantasy of whom they deem the consumers to be.

It is, in fact, a democratic process --> except the consumer is voting with the pocket books.

PS -- yes I am a programmer in a software firm, and yes, I've worked with quite a few marketing folks...

Agreed. It's truly a loss, the media narrowing everyone's view the way it does. Creating a mainstream taste.

I can't see it possible to change, however... It's very deeply rooted in our hormones and drives. As well as thousands of years of history, both in development and culture, as well as genes.

I,for one find the Assasin's in game model to be very attractive/beautiful. It just sickens me how people are easily turned off by it simply because shes not a C cup with a perfect waist/butt etc.

I also like it simply because it BREAKS the character mold of all the other professions. All the other female characters use the same basic body ratios, with the assasin being the only radically different (and maybe realistic) build.

I'm an artist and designer and i know exactly what kind of mindset goes into creating a design thats marketable, iconographic and eye catching for a specific audience.

Everyone's different. Perhaps you were born to be a statistic? I like having the ability to choose my own path, so I'm not a proponent of mainstream ideas and groupthinking. The opinions of others have very little to do with my decisions. I can agree that other factors, like life experiences, hormones, and genes do play a role with your personal development of your likes and dislikes. I just don't see any merit in taking on the opinions of others.

I can't explain why, but I don't find large breasts to be attractive. I guess I was born lucky

How the hell did this thread became a matrix like philosophy thread?

The assassin looks as sexy as other female characters in the game. I know I like her. Plus she have a dance who is only second to the funniest dance in the game! Skinny is good. What you are talking about is an extreme version of skinny.

erm... you guys seem to be missing one important factor here.

They are Asian!

Asians by natural genetic design are small people!... compound that with the fact that they are assasins, which requires alot of Aerobic training (like running) to purposfully keep the weight down to give them a speed advantage, rather than to make them look good....

I think most people would realise this and not suddenly decide to stop eating to make themselves look as thin as an asian.

Different people find different body types attractive, no need to jump down anyone's throat for expressing his/her opinion.

In fact, Tric said he found curves more attractive which seems to be the opposite of what mainstream media idealizes.

I really like the female assassin face/body except for the six-pack, which I don't find attractive - nothing wrong with that.

I think female assassins look fine... Lean, Athletic, and agile. I'm sick of seeing boob shaking/ass shaking Ele's and Rangers in RA, who are usually old dudes whacking of behind their monitors. Seriously, you people get a little too touchy about this, as is everyone in GW looks perfect enough. I seriously doubt more then 13% of the people on this forum have the muscular mass of a Warrior or the curves of a Ranger. Another thing, as for warriors being fat, thats just stupid. I throw Shotput, Discus, and Javelin for my field and track team; I've seen plenty of throwers who have the same psych as Warriors yet no one calls them fat.

dont you people have other problems?
i mean really, what the f*** does it matter? i`d rather put my last remaining and functioning brain cells into some activities that actually MATTER. this discussion is more than superfluous, its simply stupid. GW characters dont eat, they dont sleep, they dont breathe, they are not alive and most importantly, they are NOT real. its pure fiction!

on the one side you argues that A`s are too skinny, on the other you whine about flubby Mesmers...ugly faces...and so on and so on. if you are all so keen on "real chracteristics" than why arent there any characteritics that make a character uglier. i mean a warrior that has NOT ONE single scar or other injuries and looks like hes new born is AS UNREAL as the rest. i`d like to see some more of that kind of stuff rather than the always perfect characters we are served...

btw, you dont play pac-man just to find out that pac-man is so fat hes round like a ball and has a really disturbed eating-disorder because hes gotta eat all the time...

ffs people, its a game, nothing more...

It's not necessarily the look of health, but more a sign of excessive training than anorexia. Have a look at a female chinese acrobat, and you'll see where they got the build from.

If people want to complain about the female avatars, I think they should complain that there are no female avatars looking older than about 25, while there's several male avatars cleary into their 30's or 40's (e.g. mine).

Because in real life women often run around in just their bikinis and like to do jiggly dances

It's just marketing/design, lowest common denominator etc - the gaming market is dominated by men. Well, boys might be more accurate but meh.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's the loss of the person that I can't see beatuy in, not mine.
Is it really the fault of people who like real beauty, or is it maybe the fault of fat, ugly women stampeding in talk shows saying "I look sexy" and making a fool out of themselves?

I agree, they DO look anorexic - but there are girls in the world that are skinny. I mean the ritualist is very curvy, and you dont see any complaints about that?

If you dont like the female assasins beacuse they look skinny, then just make a male assasin, or dont make one at all. There are all types of people in the world, all types of bodys of different shapes, colors and sizes - and there is beauty in everything. I dont think anyone should be anorexic, but some people are naturally thin.

wha? It seems that people are advocating that the girl put on a few pounds, not loose them. People "should" look healthy, deal with it.

I'm sorry but that is just ugly.
All the other females in the game have a nice figure.
The Assassin's skinny built turned me off and I will not be making a female Assassin.
The male is not that good either, and as of now I wont be making an Assassin and if I would have to in the future then I think I'm stuck with the male.

In my opinion, the Assassin looks perfectly fine. If you make your character based ONLY on their "bewb size", or the way their body looks, then make a Ritualist. Not every female has a gigantic bust and supermodel body, and it should be that way in the game, too...

I don't care, was the stupidest and most wiry looking character and got -0- play time because it looked so ridiculous i cbf to bother with it... Runners in the picture actually look fit, which is generally, the standard for people who partake in that hobby as fitness and as occupation. On the other hand, the assassin is more akin to 5 toothpicks with an olive for a head.
