When I'm in an area in high demand for Monks and theres a shortage, I generally try to appeal to the Monk's sense of humor rather than insults to select my group rather than others. My favorite lines to use are:
MEDIC!!! We need a Medic Stat!...
*Looks for Monk in area....then finding one, uses their name in next statment...*
Paging Dr. (Insert Monks Name)...Paging Dr. Monk. Dr. Monk is STAT, code Blue urgent.
Anyway...it generally works out better than insults or Spamming GLF MONKS!

I would join your group, it sounds like you all have a great sense of humour.
It’s a shame more people don’t tri to be as creative in game.

I was there...that's so freaky. I was wondering what he was saying before I got there. He kept typing in caps. Oh man, reading that was so freaky.

My favorite line, if I had one, might be:
Alpha-Wammo LFG to heal me after I chug 6 Dwarven Ales and Charge Headfirst INTO EVERY MOB I CAN SEE!
I might actually go try this...

I saw one that was "Interrupt ranger LFG: I like long walks on the beach, scented candles, and cuddling"
I get annoyed by all the monks that go to a mission town and go afk, so I will say
"Prot monk LFG, and amazingly I am not AFK! O RLY? YA RLY!"

The other day I entered into The Wilds mission, since my guild and I were doing it together for another guildie. Just for fun I typed in "UBER LEET NECRO LFG" while waiting for my guild to invite me into the party. Low and behold I promptly received 2 invites, and 2 more shortly after.
At first I thought it was just because I was level 20, but I also shouted it in the desert missions and still received many invites. (also while helping a guildie) I thought it was funny anyways, because I remember how I used to shout well thought out informative group invite shouts to no avail, and here I am typing in capped leetspeak like an idiot and getting my fair share of invites. Life is funny sometimes.

The best + by far the funniest damn spam of all: "infused + experienced w/mo lfg for FoW/UW" Some may find it sad, but I think the majority will agree that it is hilarious to no end

I've been trying the polite well-articulated group invite shouts, and I usually get nothing for it, too. It's frustrating; I keep thinking that there's got to be like minded people, but I'm not finding them.
(I'm feeling some frustration about forming groups in general, but that's probably 5 crushing failures in Thirsty River tainting my view. )
