ok i got bored so i figured i would post this for the new ppl to the game

What not to do.
Dont get into a team and exepect a full team instantly and leave the team.
Dont get into a team and the first time you die you leave the team.
Dont get into a team and when someone does something wrong by mistake dont call them an idiot/moron/newb/n00b/any other name, try and help them out.

People hate it when you do this.

What to do.
When you get into a team, stay a little while untill team is buillt, sometimes its slow and not many ppl want to team then.
When you die, dont just leave, try again.
Try and help someone when they make a mistake.

Better for everyone when you do this.

What not to do:

Don't make an elementalist.

Don't buy skills from trainers unless they are absolutely essential, most of them are going to be unlocked at some point in the game.
Don't salvage minor and major runes out of the armor they are in, you actually get more money by selling them like that.

What to do:

Get in a guild as fast as possible. Faction with Balthazaar is nice.
Stay in pre-searing until level 8. It allows you to solo most of Ascalon.
If you are poor, use collector's armor instead of buying new armor at every outpost.

Do look at Gamepressure.com for maps
Do look at the Neoseeker FAQ for collectors' locations
Do look at Guildwiki.org for almost all other factual information
In particular, do look at the skill listings to see which skills can be gotten through quest rewards and which need to be bought if you're going to use them

Don't salvage monster body parts, even though they're called "salvage items"
Don't sell runes, dyes, or materials without being familiar with both the relevant traders' price and also the merchants' price
Don't contribute money to your guild soon after joining
Don't begbegbegplzplzbegbeg for money or favors, either publicly or inside your guild
Don't believe any seller who tells you something is "rare"

When you are leader of a party, listen everybody's opinion and respect them.

When somebody shouts "Wait!", please wait. If you don't wait, there is a chance that you all die in a matter of seconds. Especially when the shouter is your healer

Don't spam the party chat, because if you do, all communications are null and void. Nobody cares that you have 350 out of 350 health. Especially when you say is every second.

Except for Strength Minor rune. I sell that for like 400g versus the armor which is like 200g.

Also, Major Vigor are worth much more when salvaged... at least last time I checked which was last night.

oh yeah, and dont try to salvage a rune out of something with a basic salvage kit.. i learned the hard way with a super vigor rune :P

When in a guild

Do be polite and respectful
Do be helpful when guildmates ask for help
Do give ur unwanted weapons to newbies in your guild
Do give advice when asked
Do say "Hi" when you come on
Do team up together to farm

Don't overdo it
Don't give away money excessively
Don't ignore
Don't go MIA without prior notification
