I was talking with my guild today and we were thinking it would be really nice if there was an area in the isle of the nameless where if you went in with a partner you could practice infusing, life it would do a certain amount of dmg to that person and then a spike or a spike every once in a while, just to give people new to infusing a nice intro and practice time.

just do zaishen challenge for obsidian spikers, & u be the only monk & practice infusing + sb'ing ^_^

The obsidian spike in the zaishen elite wont even kill you if every obsidian hits in my experience.

If you want good practice just sign up as an SB/infuser in HoH. No cost for losing and after you get good at it the fame will roll in. Actually HA is a very spike heavy environment and I made 90 fame this last weekend just infusing for random unranked PUGs.

Not a bad idea.

As for the Zaishen Obsidian Flame spike... You could probably heal through that by hitting something with a vampiric weapon.

LOL! Haha thats so true. The spike isnt so easy when there are 6+ of them though.

5 Obsidian Flames at 16 Earth Magic is exactly 590 damage. 590 is exactly the amount of health you have with no sup/major attribute runes, superior vigor, and +60 hp staff. Excluding morale, that will kill anyone if it is well timed enough to negate healing, and the target is not already pre-protted.

So if you really want to practice infusing against the Zaishen, get three other guild mates to roll PvP characters, and have them wear three superior attribute runes. Then it might be something of a challenge.

Yeah, the spikes aren't very good. They should have some kind of boost. Like double damage.

Or if they even made the AI time the spikes better it would be challenging to most people new to monking, with a Stoning follow up for the 4x Obsidian Flames.

Honestly, the only practice i have at it is actually running the build in HA. I sucked at it at first, after i got the hang of it, it was no big deal. it takes quick reflexes and a general knowledge of how th battle is going and being able to accurately assess the situation for your sb and knowing abotu which targets are goign to be the target of the next spike.

all great suggestions, i myself dont need practice with infusing i was just talking to some guild mates about it and thought it wouldnt be a bad idea
