Question Special In-Game Dance Emote for the Assassin and Ritualist?

What is the "Special In-Game Dance Emote for the Assassin and Ritualist" that comes with the collector's edition? Is it an additional emote or does it replace the normal dance emote? Any pics or video on what they look like? Thanks.

I believe its the same dance, exept with backup dancers and "added effects". Not sure what it'll be but I pre-ordered CE anyways.

If my assassin is gunna have back up dancers I want some assassins to flip in with smoke puffs and start dancing. Eh for spiritualists I suppose a line of spirits is umm... yeah.. the better choice is obvious.

I've seen the dances. They're utterly charming. I honestly wish we could show them before release. However, from what I've heard, the CE is selling out nearly everywhere in advance of release, so I guess we don't need to show the dances to "boost sales."

Can't wait for you to see them!

Haha this gonna be interesting to see when your assassin is surrounded in 12v12 to start dancing with illusionary backup dancers right before you shadowstep away/recall and dissappear.

I'm guessing it will say "function disabled" if you try. Also hitting tab will select the real target and not a dancing clone. But it sure would look scary if you had 12 ppl with CE do it at once.

FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!

Well it's a crushing blow to hear that some people actually had the ability to choose which game edition they wanted to preorder. For those of us that were stupid enough to buy a preorder from Best Buy though, or at least Best Buys like mine that wouldn't let me specify which edition I wanted to preorder, I guess it will just be a bloodthirsty fight to the death to see who gets to the CE boxes first.

By the way, what's the point of selling preorders in a store again if you don't use them to gauge how many of each product you'll need on the release day? Yeah...

Gaile: "I think the normal dances are replaced with the fancier one, yes."
(This is referring to only the rit/assass dances)

If this is accurate to/'til the release. then that is kinda too bad. IMO.

I would have liked to keep both. normal/CE dances. a /dance and a /dance2 perhaps?

(but again, just to speculatively speak. Anet might be considering a /dance2 for all profs later in the game anyways, so they wouldnt want to add this on right now.)

so basically, you cant sync dance your CE rit/assass anymore with the players w/o CE then.

/no biggie though.

/g'day.

So they want to try and trick you into buying both CE AND standard? LOL.

One of the main reasons why I chose the CE instead of the SE is the dance emotes and I am really looking forward to them.
Good thing I preordered early! Looks like some places will run out before release

I wouldn't mind buying the CE for the emotes if I can actually see them and evaluate which I want to buy. But ArenaNet is making people blindly spend their money if pre-ordering, which is STUPID.

i thought the new dances were only for the 2 new professions so couldnt you still sync with the others?
