And where, pray tell, did you read that sigils will be the cost for maintaining NPCs in a GH? Or you're just making things up?
Prices of sigils may raise slightly, but they will NEVER spike as high as they did before ANet retooled the market and increase the sigil drops.
But as everything else, the prices will continue to fall after the intiial rush with factions release. People will be more concerned with farming all the new items and skills to worry about new guild halls.

The funny thing is that your guildhall now costs as much as your 15k shoes...

I remember seeing them to 99K and thinking I was never going to get one. Bought mine when they were 20K.

After read this thread I went and checked the Sigil trader and they were selling for 17k, went ot LA and bought one for 13k. I had quit paying attention to the cost as I never thought I`d have enough to afford one. Our "guild" consists of me and a friend who made the guild when he got the game for reasons I haven`t figured out.

you realise that every 10-15 minutes (i'm not sure exactly how long you have to wait between the battles) sigils drop in HoH, and the demand for them in the beginning was high due to the relative low supply, but a guildhall is permanent, so now there is little demand for them

Playing HOH for rare items and sigils has ruined the meaning of winning it. Thats why most top guilds play GVG now, it is also higher level.

could you provide a link or direct me to more information about this? i'm interested in information about NPC's in the guild halls, and startup/maintenance costs for such.

Yup, the first OWEL guild hall was 90k and took us a month to save up for. Now I could get one from half an hour of farming.. I suppose its kind of better this way, but having a hall doesnt fell like an accomplishment anymore

That's because it's not, and I doubt it ever should've been. The only reason why Sigils cost so much 8 months ago was simply greed. It wasn't because you "earned" it, but due to poor supplies, and insanely greedy players. The actual # of players that won a Sigil via HoH was miniscule compared to the # of players playing GW. HoH was being held by a small # of teams for hours at a time, the players hoarded their Sigils, and as time crawled on, and more and more people started playing GW and wanted to join/start a guild, the costs of Sigils skyrocketed.
Yet isn't the GH the core of GW, honestly? If guilds are supposed to be at war, having a guild hall is the centerpiece of actually making that happen. You couldn't GvG without one. Until ANet fixed the Sigil market, things were just out of control. Paying 100K PLUS 5-7 gold unIDed items for a GH? That was nuts.
I know guys that still have accounts full of Sigils - they should've sold them when they were at 70-80K each. Now they are not worth much more than a couple of ectos and take up valuable storage space. IMO Sigils should be around 10-20K each, simply to make buying a GH taking a tad more effort than designing a cape, but just expensive enough where people don't just buy them on a whim.

I expect a new "spike" when they start adding the new stuff to the guild halls - I can see a farmer who wants "guild storage" of the guild of one.
I'm all for the low prices. The culture has changed where a guildhall was a high status symbol.

The point is, PvEers have a way to make their money, we don't. From what I have heard about pve, you can get 40k in a matter of hours. The only way for PvPers to make money is from sigils. 15k is NOTHING. I'm not asking for the price to jump to 90k+ again. But 25-30k would be nice, it would actually be worth winning halls.

no , most people stopped playing tombs because of IWAY. I have about 30 sigils sitting on one of my characters because of the low price. The rare items and sigils are earned and it does not ruin the meaning of anything, tombs is a tournament and win you win a tournament you get a prize. correct?

Didn't Anet change the HoH chest so that it reveals 3 instead of 1? From that, the amount of sigils in the economy will treble and the price will be divided in to 3.
<I know thats an obvious statement but nobody has mentioned it yet>

Yes, they changed that very early in the game. IMO when storage and that kind of stuff comes out for guild halls it should cost more sigils to add them to your guild hall. Example: 5 sigils for a storage 8 sigils for a preist of balthazar 10 sigils for a skill trainer
