Well... I don't know if it's 90%, but...

You were talking to us, your fellow posters on this thread, not about the general GW populace. You didn't just say 'we' sell our greens, you said 'we' sell our greens and then come crying on the forum if our next run doesn't give us a drop. Challenging that wasn't BS. What I challenged was YOUR bs assumption.

everyone complains about the price drops on these items because there are so many framers selling these green/gold items...but yet everyone also complains that each person in a group shoul get atleast one good drop per run but if that were to happen then what would be the need in selling these items at all for everyone in the game who could would have these items flood the market in game and items are worth nothing to anyone so you still have wasted your time in that area framing for these items....i like some of the others here play for fun not in game wealth...i could care less what i get for drops.. is nice to get a good one but still dont care if i do or not...i have been framing UW for months and i have only gotten 1 ecto and a couple of golds from the chest there....if ya ask me i think they should reduce the drop percent and not give out as many green or gold items....then prices go back up an for those who value wealth can work for it....but thats just my thoughts

How much different are the green in UW than the greens in SF? I can't remember but I think I got a bow with the same stats as that from SF.

The people who say the drop distribution should stay the same, are the ones who actually get something once in a while.

Try doing that run three times *MONKING* over the course of a few days, get nothing as reward, everyone else getting multiples.... then get back to me, okay?

BTW, the word "rant" is actually in the title of this thread. So this actually happens to be the perfect and only place for losers like me to come and complain. If you don't want to hear the whiners, go to another thread.

(Last night finally got a drop - Victo's Blade - was going to swear off the place forever more if I didn't get anything. Now I'm allowed to go back again. That was the fourth green drop I've gotten in my entire lifetime.)

Yes rather anal of me, but severl people have claimed the same in the past to be found out as liars.

It has either been changed, or your mistaken, if your telling the truth apoligies in advance, if your fibbing go away.

Hmmm your quote in full

Im confused as to your point then, what you said (the part in bold) is that i can get the items i need or want from collecters.

which is false.

And to point out to people again i never asked for an increased drop rate, but it is unfair to see 3 greens go to once person whilst others get 0, i dont want increased but fairer drops.

I gave up on farming them when in 7 runs in a row as a healing monk I got one crap pillar.

Not even worth my time or work to go in to try and get them.

They should have had a chest at the end and everyone gets a random green to make it fair. They say this game is based on a reward system but I dont see it. Also a person getting 2-3 of them when its a group effort is just bull.

i have collecters weapons for everything i need apart from an axe which is why im glad i have victos axe. the reason for this is there is not 15^50 axe from a collecter that i have found/seen/read about.

I'm positive there is.. there was site I had bookmarked on my old comp that had all of the collectors listed- more than likely it was in mineral springs or the desert.. I'll try and find that listing again (got new comp and lost all that old info)

wtf?..why should you have to change your profession to get a drop?..aren't you working just as hard if not a little bit harder than the others in the group?

I've done three runs, on my first run I got my first EVER neterr 7 on the courtyard level, that made me bitter, second run, my GW game locked for the first time ever..ok still bitter, lets try again another night, third great PUG in a row, I felt really bad about getting booted from the previous two PUGS because they were good as well. Everyone is working out great, we are cracking jokes having fun, making our way through, chests = purple then we defeat the darknesses later and the other tank besides myself gets the pillar and the axe, I get nothing and the monks get nothing...extreme bitterness...the timer starts ticking and we are subjected to "woooo AXE, I got the AXE, third time I get the AXE..W00000" for the next 30 seconds or whatever it is....I really enjoyed playing with the guy and even gave him candy canes for free when he died, but my longsword was begging to be plunged through his neck at that moment.

ohhhh but I did get a req 13 purple falchion though so yay me.

I think it's funny how Anet wants group play, but all the richest most furtile spots are easily solo farmable, then they create this new UW where pretty much you HAVE to go in a group and then they send you to Raven staff hell.

*Rant gone...calmness returning...serenity now*

lol I feel you snapp.. think if they increased the drop rate so more drop it'd fix the problem- that chest idea mentioned earlier is'nt bad either.. everyone opens a chest at the end with a green.. I mean 2 hours is extreme to basically get nothing- time's better spent in other areas right now if your skilled (droks run, solo toa uw)

I thought there is a max of 3 drops per run. Unless if there is only 2 people in your party, how did everyone get one and some got 2?

Very True. Read that people. It is these 'unfair' drop rates you're complaining about that is the reason you're farming. If everyone on a run got a drop, then prices would drop very rapidly, since everyone would have them. If 3 drop for one person, then he can sell them for a lot, however if one dropped for everybody, then when you actually got one, you wouldn't be able to sell it for as much at all, since the chances are a lot of other people would already have it, because it dropped for them too, thus defeating the whole point of farming in the first place.

Green weapons are meant to be powerful, rare, highly sought after weapons, named after legendary heroes (in this case Kings) and so are meant to be rare.

As for one person getting more than one, think about it this way: give 10 children one sweet each, and they won't be able to sell them between each other, as they'll all already have one. Give one of the 10 all the sweets instead, and he makes a load. Chances are that YOU are going to be that one kid someday, so don't complain.

Hope this post made sense

Any developer that wants something to be frustrating shouldn't be trusted to write a notepad clone, let alone a game. Games are about having fun; fun and frustration are mutually exclusive states of mind. Challenge is fine; I would like the new tombs just fine on that basis alone. But challenge without a reward is frustrating, which is why I've sworn off ever going back to the damn place again unless everyone in the team gets some kind of reward (and no, salvage from random drops doesn't count. I can get that from trolls MUCH easier). Six runs with nothing to show for it is too much.

You're assuming that everyone actually visits the new tombs, and that everyone reaches the end. Both of these premises are not necessarily true. In fact, I would venture to say that only a small portion of the GW community has bothered with the place. Even those that do aren't likely to succeed. Pick-up groups there tend to die in the second area most of the time, and most people probably give up after a few team wipes. Like I said, frustration without reward is no fun.

Yes, it is. But should it be as random as it is? Wouldn't it be better if, when X number of random special items drop, they get distributed randomly but evenly over Y number of players so that no one will have 2 before everyone has 1? Here X may even be smaller than Y, so there's no absolute guarantee of a drop, but people will be spared to witness their fellows pick up 3 when they get none. That's still pretty random, but less annoying.

The people really hurt by the way it works now are the casual players, the ones that don't run in highly efficient 'area cleaning machine' builds. The PUG players that can't even finish the area 1 out of 3 attempts. The ones who can't even try to finish the 4 areas on a regular basis, because they can't play 4 hours straight that often. (Some groups take 4-5 hours to clean the place out.) When a game stops being fun to many people, you have to start wondering if the 'it's random!' stance is such a good idea.

The farmers, when they don't get a drop, they just grin and bear it, and have another go. These areas are, unlike what the majority of posts seem to suggest, farmer friendly and ONLY farmer friendly.

Also, I don't see how it isn't obvious that there should be a system that goes some way to rewarding people more equally for an equal, shared accomplishment. Did 'skill over time played' get tossed out of the window? How is equal distribution of loot in PvE any different than equal distribution of fame/faction after a victorious PvP battle?

Perhaps having specific mobs dropping specific items isn't such a good idea to begin with if you're going to assign them randomly.

But yeah, it's random.
