-NZ actually has hills
-NZ has Peter Jackson, AU has Russell Crowe (although Rus reckons he grew up in NZ, but don't belive him).
-AU does have Nicole Kidman, but she's overrated (at least according to Tom Cruise).
-NZ has won more international Yacht races than AU (AU's boats usually sink)
Anyway, I predict Oceania will be the dominant force in HA. Look out.

This guy is rofl.
-Beer sucks in general. I'm a wine person.
-NZ has a gay sounding "six"; they say it as "sex". And my accent is neutral. I wasn't born in Australia.
-NZ's good at rugby, but what other sports are they good at?
-NZ may have hills, but they sure as hell don't have any jobs.
-Russell Crowe AND Nicole Kidman are both overrated. Russell has family problems and Nicole's getting old. Oh, and by the way, who's Peter Jackson?
-What in hell does Yacht races have to do with how good a country is to live in, anyway? You talk about it like it's critical to the wellbeing of a nation.

Hmm it should be interesting to see if this happens, as Gaile said a few times it wouldn't. I don't think I would switch over though, American districts have so many more people...

But how many people live in australia and oceania combined? 30 million? That's about half or less than let's say any of the european countries like for example italy. And those servers are not exactly what you can call extremely populated. Don't want to sound pessimistic, but if we assume that a comparable percentage of the people has guildwars in any european country with their own district and this new region, than you could assume that the australian oceanian region would have roughly half the population of what the individual european language districts have.
Even in the english speaking european districts, when you don't play at peak hours, but more like later at night or in the morning, some outposts can feel kinda empty already. If you take Australia and Oceania that has a smaller combined population already, the only assumption I could make is that it's going to be a mostly empty region. Unless of course I am mistaken and relatively more people in this region buy the game than they do in europe.

Lexar, most of us just want a chance to represent Australia or Oceania in GvG and in HoH we dont even care if we get our own districts.
Hell we had a good suggestion in anzgw from a fellow from asia. Put all the areas which arent currently under a territory in SE-Asia (Malaysia singapore etc) and the Oceanic regions under the tag Australasia

I can give you a key if you give me contact information - I doubt it would be a good idea to publicly post it here. Although, if they start the trial out in pre-searing like I am suspecting, the 10-hour time limit is going to be nearly worthless for seing what the game is like.
I am of course assuming you want the Guild Wars: Prophecies 10-14 trial, because as far as I know, there is not one for Factions.

yey, someone as old as me!! hahaha... (im only 24). new generations do not know that Oceanis used to refer to South-East Asia, Melanesia and the likes, Papua New Guinea, Australia, and New Zealand.
For some weired reason I wasn't able to follow, South-East Asia was removed from the Oceania terminology.
Finally, someone who knows how far Oceania covers..
Well, let's say there are 30 million people, but still how many percentage are playing GW? That's what they are considering, they can pull-out data anytime they want to see how many players are coming from which country and region, if until now they still are not even thinking of a Oceania Region or let's make it even bigger "Asia-Oceania-Australia-NZ" region, then it simply means that there is still not enough players to warrant or justify a creation of a new region for us all. *huhuhuhu*
Oh btw, if we really want one, we should further get closer to each other region-wise if we want to have a fighting chance about this matter. Maybe not by posting threads everywhere but maybe through online petitions, signature campaign, and best of all, we get together and organize events as a one-region instead of per countries. ^_^
