I bet you would <3 the old system, where cap sigs for people like me that are UAS would be 3k+ each. The 1k cap is awesome, don't complain.
In 5000k xp you should have enough cash to buy all your skills... or at least the expertise to rapidly make enough.
Moving on: Oh yay... 1v1... pointless imho but whatever.

1v1 will be a lot of fun, especially for Mesmers! (Although I see it getting boring after trying it 3-4 times ) I think it's mainly just an avenue of keeping overconfident guildies in their place.

I must've missed something - do you also get money for elite skill captures?

Im almost definatly sure this would mean percentage of map uncoverd! look at the percentage figures in that screenshot...
he has tyria 0.4% uncoverd!.. how many outposts in Tyria? 50?.. which would mean that even if he was just at pre-searing it would be 2%.. certainly not fractions of a percentage.
There is no way it would be that accurate if it was just outposts visited! oO
This has just made me think of something else that makes me smile,
There are people I know who say that they will pick a faction and STICK with it... kind of like
" I love Kurzicks and hate luxons I will remain loyal!"
I've always maintained that anyone who thinks like this are idiots for only playing half the game.... now, they will be forced into playing all of the game if they want to get those titles... HAH!

I wonder if they'll be a title based on % of Bonuses unlocked in missions.

Nope. What I meant was, if you're going to capture ALL elite skills (and following on, all standard skills as well), you need slightly under 5 million xp. In that time of collecting XP, one would assume you'd collect enough cash to pay for cap sigs... or at least know how to make cash efficiently enough if needed.
Definitely going for cap all elites in factions

Re: Guildstorage speculations.
I doubt the Guild "vault" as they call it would be a set amount of slots for every guild!
I Highly suspect that it would be dependent on how many members you have.. maybe 5 slots per member! question would be what happens when certain member leaves?..
in anycase, I think its very dangerous to speculate on what it might be like at this stage.. Im just happy that some form of guild storage is DEFINATLY coming

An average run through the rockshots, minotaurs and the odd persky scarab outside Augury tends to net about 3k, which will pay for three cap sigs, but will certainly not produce three skill points, so I think XP will the limiting factor on gaining the skill unlock title, not gold.
I am now screeching to a rapid halt on my plan to unlock all of the elite skills before Factions though; with 90 skill points in the bank on my main char I can equate that to about 450,000 XP I'd be wasting, or another 30 skill points. That should be enough SPs to be going on with, but I'll still have to keep up the FoW/UW questing to be able to get every skill in the game on one char. If you have to ask why I'd want to, you probably wouldn't understand anyway

I just realised...
When they announced that Captures of Signet prices were going through the roof I purchased about 30 Sigs... and have only used about 2 of them.
lol...
Wish I had bought more now xD.. but at least I can now reap the reward of taking such an action at the time

They said they were making it so getting skills would be easier/quicker in factions....So I'm hoping that number drops a bit.

1v1 is retarded. I know I won't be participating in it. It's GUILD wars, the game is made for group activity. Not personal activity.

It's for in-guild training only. This is good. Try builds versus other specific builds, see what happens.

The price used to keep scaling for every skill you bought, so eventually, it would be 3k or greater.
I wasn't at that yet, though. So I got screwed price-wise. A lot of people had already paid a lot more for many, and were also screwed. But I'm sure there were people who were at or around 1k who it worked out perfectly for.

I hope so - or better still a title for having all missions/bonuses/quests completed as thats a major achievement - Tyerian Conquoror or something as tbh I can't be arsed to cap elites just for a title - especially as many of them will never get used or can't be used (like those linked to an attribute only a primary character can get). My 4 characters have all the skills/elites for their primary profession and all skills/elites from every 2nd prof that I'm likely to use/need at some point, and I'll adopt the same policy for getting skills in Factions.

I think it was test stage, they probably just put a number there.
I HIGHLY doubt there are 1000 missions. Maybe 1000 quests, but missions?
As far as I recall it was 14 or something.
However there will be "competitive missions, challenge missions, alliance battles, and elite missions"

It's not "1v1," it's a variable number of players vs another variable number initiated by any people in your guild hall. You have to have a guild to do it, and it's not like it's an arena on the battle isles.
