Wow, +15 energy sword? 15^50 also? I want one! I want one! I want one! lol
Actually you can see "Energy +15" line is different in font size and color with the rest. Definitely Photoshop!

i bought a 6800GT AGP a couple of weeks before the 6800GS was announced, so i spend 40-50 quid more for a less efficent card, boo-freaking-hoo, im over it.
if you dont like your expensive items being cheaper in the future, why the hell do you have a pc? my 486 laptop cost me hundreds, now you can get them off ebay for 20 quid
Wether being in existance made the HoD sword unbalanced is debatable, but one thing if for certain, if people with more money can buy better equipment for PVP, then it is CERTAINLY unbalanced, to fix this they had to either remove it 100%, or put the same back into existance.
if you bought one and got screwed, well , did you think they cost so much because they looked pretty? no, it was because they were unbalanced (if only the few and rich have access)

The item is real and has been validated by GWGuru mod.

The +5 energy is instead of a percentile damage modifier. (As was also already stated in previous replies. )

So why are we only seeing this one brute sword and this one spiked axe?
Wouldn't these forums be flooded with screenies of tons of different drops by now?
Did they add the ability to drop these and then remove it in one of the later patches last night?
Will they add it back in Friday?

The latter patch(s) "undid" the added items +5 weapons. Looks like the jumped the gun a little too soon. Aka this will be out latter.

Well I was online when it all went down.
First there was an update. I rebooted GW.
Then things started dropping (+5 en weapons) and the spiked axe was posted here in the price check section. I believe this was a chest drop. I wasn't farming at that time so I didn't see anything drop personally but I did PM the guy that posted the axe and he showed it to me I/G and it was legit (oh and he sold it for 100k + 50E btw).
Apparently in this same timeframe the Brute Sword shown in this post dropped and somebody made a pvp char and noticed the +5 energy sword option as well and posted the SS here too.
Then minutes later there was another update and everything went back to normal as far as I knew. I heard rumors floating around later that more +5 energy weapons were dropping but no concrete confirmations on those.
So you can classify this as Anet totally playing with our heads in an attempt to get rid of HoD's (highly unlikely as they could easily just remove them).
Or you can say Anet made a big whoopsie and put some factions patches in that are not suppost to be released until the preview/retail release. I'm pretty sure this is the scenario...

^^ thanks for the info, that's what I was wondering.
You know, if I ran an online game, I'd do stuff like this all the time. Put in a patch, make some crazy stuff drop, and put in another patch 15 minutes later to make it stop dropping. Just to see people freak out.

skyrocket to what? from 30~60K each(19~20%) to 100K+10 ecto? I hope not, But with so many people wanting a certain skin, you will see a bubble for certain skins...
I will be replacing my 11th month old crystalline with a certain skin once it becomes wide spread...
