I have noticed an increase in my dye drops as well. I also noticed, with more than a little dissapointment, that silver dye looks more like black than black dye on my ele armor, why cant they make black, black, they certainly charge enough for the notion of it, but the color is a defintite 'purple' hue. A little off topic srry. Been bugging me for a few days. Thx for the indulgence.

I honestly think it is very disappointing to see that people just love to exploit the 'Newbies' who have no idea how much the Dye trader sells dyes for and sell them for 150g because of lack of that knowledge.
When I see newbies sell black dyes for that low prices I tell them that they should save it up for Post Searing and then sell it to the merchant since it is worth way more then they ask.
And yes I have noticed the frequent dye drops as well.

Yeah, suddenly there's an increase in dyes, but I don't sell dyes unless they're silvers or blacks.. Only ones worth selling IMO. I use the others for fun.. Dye mixing and giving them to guildies.

my question is why do we charge so much for dye? We all use it and it has all the same purpose I belive the prices should be lower. It makes no sence for black dye to cost 7k when it does the same job as blue which is like 100gold.

I think I may have you all beat...
And please note that all these are in Pre-Searing. Figured I'd go public with what I had in Pre.

yeah when I first got the game (not long ago) I used a black dye on a crappy shield then had a heart attack a couple days later when I found out how much it worth.

To me it seems like all of the colors (except black) drop about the same amount. I have been saving my dyes for awhile and I have between 8 and 12 of every color except only 1 black. I will have to wait and see if my ratios change when I get about 100 or so. Silver doesn't seem particularly rare so I wonder why it costs more?

wow that previous post about noobs selling Black Dye for 150g. Dood you have a real gameing issues, if you would get someone to sell you a black dye for 150g. Also Please do not say thts what he ofered, he/she was prob asking people what they were worth.
That is worse than any trade scammer, you blatently took advantage of a new player. While I know your responce and maybe others will "hey seller beware" Knowing it's value and hanging around in Pre (which is obvious by your comments, is what you were doin) to take advantage of new players.
Is Brutal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I to have noticed a somewhat better drop rate on dye lately. Used to seem like once in a great while a dye would drop now its almost like one or two drops every one. I save every dye I loot in the bank just in case someone in the guild needs/wants some dye (except my black I hold that for my Cantha armor) Ive been "lucky" with the black only bought one to finish off my Droks Plate set....way back when people first starting getting there w/o runners.
6 black
17 silver
13 blue
12 green
22 red
29 orange
26 yellow
29 purple
