Whenever i try to ettin farm i always get slowed down by the mergoyles, then the tengu strip my enchants and cast w/e it is that spell that makes your health bar pink and decreases by liek 8....then i get raped...do i kill al the mergoyles with 55 then run past tengu???

Sorry guys, this thread isn't about "how" to farm Ettins. It's more about how the new updates affected the run. If you're interested in learning about the different builds, there are hundreds of posts in the "profession" forums that will help you out.

BTW, I got another two Superior Absorptions this evening. Funny thing is, I still haven't got any Vigors and supposedly Anet increased the drop rate for both. For the first time in history, the Absorps are below Vigors in price at the Rune Trader.

i got 2 purples and 1 superios prot rune in about 10 minutes of farming

im quite sure the ettins dont drop pauldrons as much, but the quality of the pauldrons is still intact

In an hour, I got an orange dye, a Superior Strength, Superior Protection, eight purple pauldrons not worth mentioning, and two blue pauldrons not worth mentioning. 12 Humps, 212 gold, and enough white pauldrons to give me two leather squares and 48 tanned hides. Net profit was only 6K or so. :/

Psh, at least let on whether you kill em all together or 1 at a time

Yeah i was wondering that, i haven't seen a single Sup Vigour drop yet either, just a ton of Absorptions sending the price down so fast, they're at 35k last i checked, down from 39k yesterday morning. It seems Ele runes are the most common though, i've had 2 sup ES, 1 Air, 2 Fire, 1 Earth and a shed load of major versions, same goes for Warrior, had a load of Sup Strength and Axe/Hammer, no swords as of yet.
