anyone else think the diffculty is unneccessary?
i created a new character in factions. now lvl 14. I made it the the Zen something mission, and im stuck. The boss u have to kill at the end is impossiable. The blue Yijo or something can take half of ur health in one blow.
So is it me or are they making the "presear" too frigging hard?

- Its not presear
- I easily completed it with henchies. Took 3 tries to get used to the "heat" at the begining though. That mission is much harder than any previous quest
- Take your time to avoid the plague areas. This includes pulling some of the deseased guys so you aren't fighting in the plague.
- The last 3 bosses were very easy for me, the hard part was getting there.
- Make sure you buy the 400g armor. That is a must at that point.

Protective Spirit is the key spell that will get you anywhere you want to go. Use it excessively. Get at least 2 protection monks casting protective spirit on party at all times, and one WoH healer.

You forgot to mention that bringing Mending tends to help a lot since you are constantly being healed.
Be sure to use Echo before casting it for more effective results

i know its not really presear with all the traders and lvl 20s running around, but not many ppl there has the skills, not to mention most of them are assassins or ritualisits

Actually, all the difficulty in Factions stems from the fact there is only one healer hench, and that one healer hench sucks at healing. Add to that most people arent rolling monks as their Factions character, which makes finding a pug monk difficult.

Would you honestly pick a PUG PC monk compared to the henchie one? Especially this early in the game?
I wouldn't
The ritualist Henchie has some healing skills btw. It can be useful.
As far as henchies go, the assassin one blows, so does the shock one. I expect the necro "vile" and illusion henchie not to be that better.
The earth henchie is pretty good due to him spamming melee ward and earthquake.
Fighter is pretty good
Healer has AI issues
Spirit is ok
Ranger is ok
My henchie team: Healer, Spirit, Ranger, warrior, earth, other 2 are optional, as long as you don't rush into groups of 8, you will be fine.

That mission was pretty easy I thought. You just have to be careful about what you pull and play smart about what certian spells do. At the last point in the mission where you fight all the bosses, focus attack on Yujio and if you see him use spirit rift, run away from the ball. A ritualist makes this even easier since they can lock down the ranger boss beside him with shadowsong and then you can off him at your leisure.

well between the bugged henchies, Tomo dead BEFORE i reach the cinematic, Menhlo being oneshot .. i didnt have much time for pulling things

I did the mission with 2 guildies and hench and we had absolutely no problem at all. One guildy was level 19 so that helped but me and my other guildy were only lvl 12-13 and we had hench for the rest. (All 3 of us were Assassins)

i havent been there yet, but im looking forward to the challenge. All you need is a good team, and it shouldnt be a problem. It should be darn hard to hench or pug it with a bad group

im finding the spirit ritualist henchie keeps getting stuck on things then when hes only one left alive i have to rezone and try again cause he just goes back and forth between objects ROFL

I've tried the mission about 15 times now, about 60% of the time the other team can't keep Togo alive, or its all henchies and they can't keep Togo alive.
Another 20% of the time, Mhenlo and Togo would'nt follow us.
One time the mission wouldn't even start, the doors wouldn't open.
The rest of the time the Pug spreads too thin and lures too many mobs at once T_T
The only time I almost beat it was my first time, where the other team was all henchies (they managed to keep Togo alive) and we were so close, the problem being we only had 7 people and only the healer hench as a healer.

With all the bodies falling, I just kept bloodwells up and we stayed together, and it supplemented the monk healing just fine.

i m totally fed up with this mission .. i finally cleared the 2nd zone... there is a third one !! half an hour of killing those things, no break .. that's way to much of em .. this is insane, u gotta fight with the 2 monks u gotta cover in the middle !!
i ve been trying this thing for now almost 7 hours .. no way !!
