I have seen alot of people complain about things like this simply because they believe it is against the EULA, in a way i suppose it can be:
You agree not to use any hardware or software, including but not limited to third party tools, or any other method of support which may in any way influence or advantage your use of the Service which is not authorized by NC Interactive, including but not limited to the use of ‘bots’ and/or any other method by which the Service may be played automatically without human input.
I dont know too much about these Keyboards, but its macro's right ?
and arent most bot programs based on macro's, sure it requires human input but so do the actual bots that are running around. Im guessing you can program in your own key commands with this keyboard, sure it might not be able to be used to farm, but it still could be used as an advantage over other players.
Basically all im trying to ask is where does A Net draw the line on third party tools ?
BTW just to clear up I personally dont actually have a problem with people using these im just curious about some of the rules.

the zboard does not support macros, it basically allows the user to put keyboard short cuts where they want, and plus it gives your keyboard a nice skin.
By having a factions Zboard you are any more advantaged than I without one. There are no macros involved. You would need to provide "human input" to use a zboard. Unless I am mistaken (i had my zboard for a few years now) there isnt a way to use macros with it. There may be 3rd party utilities or something, but you can get a nostromo pad to use macros. I also don't see how a macro could help in guild wars to be honest or see how that would be any fun.
Basically it is an easy way to organise your hot keys with a cool GW skin.

Im probably mistaken, but isnt a macro basically just a shortcut or a series of shortcuts (sort of like Ctrl+shift+H, instead of going to the menu and disabling the interface), as I stated earlier I have literally no idea what these Z-Boards are capable of but if you can input a series of different strings to perform different tasks for you that is using a third party device that can give you an edge over others.
Once again sorry for my noobishness, if all you can do is set key shortcuts that you can set in Gw itself on your own keyboard then fine, but if it isnt then im still confused on the matter.

Yes that is what it can do .
I believe you are confusing keyboard shortcuts with macros , they are different. On a regular keyboard you hit "H" to bring up the "hero" screen. On the zboard there will be a "hero" button labeled as such. There wont be a macro to bring up the hero screen.
There will also probably be a "skills" key that is hotlinked to the "K" key i dont know this info as for which keys are which, but that is how the zboard functions

I'd wait till later in the year for this:
http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/
THAT is going to be THE keyboard. I'm guessing they will probably sell programs to load on the board but the code will be open source so you won't have to pay too much for the codes and people who play GW can write them and share them for nothing.
Not really rearranging or reshaping keys so you would not have to learn new key positions. It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.
Not cheap. Around $300 is what I have heard, I don't believe it...but there are more uses than just games, and its tres elegant, no?

yeah it looks sweet, but I wont hold my breath until it is released. Plus 300 for a keyboard is a bit steep.
But it looks promising

I admit those keyboards are cool (especially the Optimus one, been waiting how that turns out for awhile) but really, who actually looks at their keyboard while playing?

Most welcome.
On another note, it's on the official page now, together with a high res image (just click the keyset to the upper right).

I have It Love it, Modified it, however! MERC is the way to go
I have a Zboard and have down loaded the key set for GW.
I then found the color bmp pic (file of all pics for zboards in the download) of the keys for GW and printed them on sticking paper gotten at Office depot office max Walmart or Staple
cut out and stuck on and i love it. I looked at the Factions layout and dont like it as much. The only complaint is i have to leave my full keyboard plugged int to chat or do other stuff other then GW BuT, they now have the Merc-Zboard which is just like the original zboard but with a Full keyboard to the right of the game pad area, which has solve my having to use a second keyboard no more. This also has a GW keys for downloand and i would really recommend over the Factions one check out the zboard.com site check on the Merc. If you must have the Factions key set and dont have a Zboard then wait just a bit they have had on all new games so far a buy the Zboard and get the add on board free rebate. So for instance with Call to Duty2 they sold it for 20 and had a 20 rebate when you buy a zboard. But i recommend getting the MERC-zboard.

From reading your response i'm get the impression that you can download the "key layout" to use it for the games. is that correct?

With the game keyset that comes shipped with the ZBoard, you can. It has one for GW aswell. Though, I think I'd rather want the Factions one, so I'm ordering it. :P
I personally don't like the Merc, it's wider than a normal keyboard. It's too squished to not get too wide, so there's no room for all extra keys (numpad and del keys are the same ones). Since I use the numpad almost daily (programming, typing numbers, etc), I rather like the ability to switch keypads and still have it work. Also, IMO it's too big.

I have the best keyboard for gamming... A STANDARD LEFT HANDED KEYBOARD!!!!
Why is it so awesome? The directional, numeric, pageup/down buttons are all on the left side freeing your right hand for the trackball/mouse.
The left handed keyboard is more suited to games and webbrowsing than anything else i've ever seen.
You must all get one, immediately.
