Default Easy "Changing Secondary" Guide

Alot of posters in Q/A are asking how to change the secondary of their Tyrian characters to /a or /rt.

its answered in short posts all over the forum, but with the way search works on this forum, and peoples laziness, I decided to post up how to do it.

This took me ~3hours from start to finish. You can finish it in 2 or less. (I had bathroom breaks/eating/etc).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Go to Lion's Arch and do Mhenlo's thing to get to Cantha. (talk to Sergio, then Mhenlo outside, then the boat guy).

2) Let Mhenlo and party talk, then make your way into Kienieg Center.

3) Theres nothing /Really/ to do here, but there are alot of quests for later, and you can buy Canthan style 1.5k armor. Continue Primary Quest when ready (one easy quest to pickup is the one about joining the Am Fah, you can start that one, the guy wants 3 Brotherhood capes).

4) Outside, listen when prompted too, and follow your green marker over and talk some more (no monsters on the way). Now you are prompted to go to a Mission Town. Make your way over to the Green marker using your map, you'll fight 3-4 groups of Brotherhood. Pick up 3 of the quest item capes they drop. You also pass by Jin - The Purifer boss, whom carries Expel Hexes elite (mesmer).

5) You are let into Viznuah (sp?) Square. Your first mission in Cantha with a Tyrian character. (Zone back into Center to finish that quest with the capes) Tyrian characters are seperated from Canthan characters here. This is good for you, because you have a wider range of classes for PUGs. Key to this mission is having monks that can last a long time. They dont have to be great at Antispike healing or anything since the Afflicted are actually weak for their level. People die in these long battles because the monks get pooped out. Henchies are useable, but are hard to keep alive depending on what class you are.

Elites here: Afflicted come in all flavors, and three bosses spawn here. Its random which ones show i think. Afflicted monks have Ray of Judgement, Rangers have Broad Headed Arrow, Ritualists have Weapon of Quickening, Elementalists have Mind Burn, Warriors have Enraged Smash, Assassins have Shadow Form, Necros have Order of Apostasy, and Mesmers use ...something stupid I forgot...

6) When you win, you are in Dragon's Throat. This isn't a story mission. Its a fun challenge mission, pass it for now if you are speeding to secondary change. Take up the quest here.

7) Go into Shadow Passage, talk to Mhenlo. The Afflicted Ako (Warrior) always spawns here with Enraged Smash Elite. You have to go all the way back to the path you took to get the Square to talk to the NPC to continue this quest. She tells you to go to Bazaar.

8) If you have Marketplace on your map because of going there for the Tengu, go there. If not you'll have to fight there. You fight the least amount of enemies by "hugging" the coast as close as you can going over to the west. In the Marketplace, theres a collector you might want to check out, then leave through the bazaar exit.

9) Go to the NPC, and fight off some enemies that come over. He tells you to go to the Nahpui Quarter to get "Closer to the Stars". Go there. Follow the map. Theres alot of Am Fah on the way, but they are allied to you at this point, so its just straight walking there.

10) This is the "Ascension" mission for Cantha. Basically, you are put on a small map, and theres a boss in each corner. Once you kill one of the bosses, "fake" lower lvl verisons of it appear all over the map and continue to randomly spawn on you.

Elites Here: Monk Boss is a Smiter with Sig of Judgement so dont worry about killing him early, Necro boss uses Grenth's Balance (This is the only place where Grenth's is actually dangerous..), Ele boss uses Lightning Surge, and Mesmer boss uses Lyssa's Aura (the only new elite of them all).

If you aren't worried about getting the master reward and such, this is easily Henchied. (I henchied through it in ~33 minutes first time).

Take them left to Right: Kirin (he is WEAK smite monk..dont mind multiples of him everything), Turtle (His well of weariness is his only threat), Dragon (relatively weak Air spiker..), and finually the Pheonix (you dont want mesmers everywhere..thats why he is last).

Just watch how much you aggro at once and you'll never even die here.

Final, 11) You end up in Senji's outpost. Senji is the Profession Changer! All you need to change professions here is 500gp per class you have never had before.

Updated, the afflicted boss in the Shadow Passage is always The warrior with Enraged Smash.

For more of a challenge, or if you are in a hurry, just go straight to the Phoenix warp (the one on the right as you spawn in). If you do that one it's the only one you have to do.
