Snap? Just read the beggining and the end of this thread.
No flame meant, but what was started as roleplaying thread (at least I think so) quickly became another "Im playing this" and "Im playing that" and "pvp uber this and that"....bleh.

Speaking of pets...
From the Mad Queen (she drops in LA int every now and then to RP and drop hints of "things to come")..
On Wednesday's LA visit, while she was talking about pets she said, "The Queen has seen tigers in Cantha..."
I wonder if they're white?!?
I've been having a hard time deciding what pet to get. Now I'm just going to hold out and wait to see what the new world has!

I don't realy care about differnt types of pets. I mean there is no difference at all between a lowly Melendru's stalker (which I have) or the uber spider which everyone wants. If different pets had different attributes then sure, but as it is they may as well make a pet rat.

i dont use my pet....why?
because i dont have more than 200 points
how many do i need for markesmanship? wildness? experties?
to use a bow, i need to put points to all the 3 that means beast mastery will be 1 at max and i think 2 skills slot to use a pet is much
its not like a warrior or monk
monk will put all his attributes point to divine and healing or prot
warrior will put then on axe and strength or tactics
but rangers need to put 200 to the 3 attributes which is not fair

OMG, Nooblets and his girlfriend are gonna have kittens. Oh, isn't this the best news. Im gonna need to save up all the half eaten masses that I see. Feeding a family of cats is no easy task. If you have some food for Nooblets and his family please whisper me in the game. And please, no fancy feast, I don't want to spoil them.

Truth. But some of the new BM skills should let you ditch the WS skills, making things a bit easier.

I keep my pet alive because without it I'm not going to do much damage... Seriously, if you're not going to be a BM, don't bring a pet.

Hi
I never thought that pets were worthwhile, teh two skills needed for using them always seemed like a total waste at the time. Then i got my spider, and decided td take it out for a trial run. I filled my skill bar with bm skills set bm to 16 exp to 10 and marks to 10 and wen tout to do ring of fire. The damage i was getting from the pet far srpassed what i expected, the pet attacks dealing extra dmaage that i think ignores armour (or at least reduces its affect) making it very useful against tough targets, (something the person comparing barage to fs missed), almost never lost health (i had call of protection up). I was amazed, since then whenever possible i have taken my pet with me >_<. I really want to try an all pet attack team.

I don't think the person comparing it to Barrage missed that point, because Barrage's +damage is also armor ignoring (as is the +damage from most attack skills). However, the +damage you get from pets is quite a bit higher than it is from Barrage, especially after this last update. Brutal Strike's ~70 armor ignoring damage FTW!

If your a seroius gamer then you probably wont have a pet unless your a part of a IWAY team...i would never bring a pet into the UW, FoW, Sorrows Furnace, or even the ring of fire... all they do is a little bit of dmg and make you not able to use any skills when they die and are rezed...

Hmm.. I've often wondered how a pet would go in UW.. seriously tempted to take both my ranger and her pet down there when they get ascended.
As for Nooblets, congrats on the family

I been using pets even before the update... pets provide that surprise that can catch a team off guard. Now with the buffs its even better.
