Furious dagger makes me furious
I seem to be getting this a lot when IDing daggers. I'm tired of it. This is annoying me even more than when I would get a staff that requires fire magic to deal damage, would improve casting speed of curses, and had +1 to illusion magic.
A/W or W/A favoritism?

i'd figure they added this in because people would eventually start complaining if it wasn't in the game in the first place....
then again, they added in the Crippling Bow String, but no one complained about it. so, whatever. i can't seem to find any point to using daggers with a warrior, but if that's the way someone wants to go, then more power to that person....

Yeah I got a perfect 10/10 one and I thought, oh neat I can use..wha...wait..there are NO adrenal assassin skills, only warrior and the bulk of them are for weapon skills.
I can think of really only 5 or so adrenal skills an a/w might use so its really a silly mod. +10% or +5% for critical hit or something would have been more useful.

Why would anyone complain about it? That has nothing to do with Assasin and Adrenaline mods. Rangers got quite benefited by this string, it's good to use with Crippling Shot since it'll extend the cripple for about 2 seconds.

Axes and swords have the poisoner's mod but the warrior can not use poison without the use of skills from the secondary profession like apply poison (ranger). So what is the problem with furious daggers? It just lets people do w/a or a/w if they want to.

i'm happy about the crippling bow string, but that's not what i meant. what i meant was that no one complained about a LACK of a crippling bow string.
the problem here is that there aren't many adrenaline-linked skills that can be used with a dagger. so, a furious dagger tang is overall useless. much like sundering.

I mean, theres a tonne of better mods out there than one which gives a 10% chance to get double adren on "Watch Yourself!" or anything else which is probably less useful.

nah, every class has their *thing*
warrior is energy wise free skills, but they cost adrenaline instead.
ranger gets reduction in skill energy with his primary attribute
monk deals with living things and keeping them alive
necromancer deals with dead things (creepy)
elementalist just does damage
mesmer indirectly(most of the time) damages foes and alter their capabilities
ritualist have weapon enchantments and spirits (not to be mixed with nature rituals)
and finaly assassins have very strong attacks, but they are limited to using them after another attack

I think... anet intended these to be in.
Daggers attack the fastest out of all the weapons *because of double strike*, and therefore, can potentially build up adrenline the fastest.
so, put these on a warrior, and he charges energy faster. It may be marginal, but its still faster. *I don't play a warrior so I'm not exactly sure if its worth the tradeoff of lower damage however (as your probably not going to have 12 dagger mastery or w/e)*

Without investing in Daggermastery, you cannot Double Strike (or its just so rare to do it that you cant even factor the chance in).

Yup, to take advantage of the double strike, you have to invest points in Dagger Mastery. To take advantage of MOST of the adrenal skills, you have to invest points in another weapon mastery.
You'd have to put points in TWO DIFFERENT MASTERIES for the adrenal dagger tangs to be useful.
But on the other hand, even Furious Stilettos of Shelter are better than plain old Stilettos of Shelter :P

There are Tactic-based adrenaline skills... but with an A/W with daggers that's basically all you have there lol. If you're using daggers you can't use adrenaline skills for warrior weapons and you can't use strength adrenaline skills because it's not your primary...

Yeah you hit the nail on the head there with that comment. Its better to have something there, then nothing. Besides there are some skills such as "Watch Yourself!" which use adrenaline.

Well it could be mildly useful, a warrior (maybe a hammer warr since they attack slowest) uses some furious daggers to get the adren faster (dagger attacks are faster and the furious helps somewhat).
