Good catch. This means all those planning to buy the June 30th shipment won't get this CE pet.

I don't see what Viruzzz said at all...
From guildwars.com:
Quote:
Factions CE buyers, we have great news! To show our appreciation for your support and patience as you wait for your CE to arrive, we decided yesterday afternoon to create a special Collector's Edition Thank You Gift. When you activate your Factions Collector's Edition access key, you will receive an in-game gift box containing a miniature of the dragon Kuunavang! Double click the box to reveal your miniature dragon. The gift will be one per account and will function like a Birthday Miniature. That is, they will be tradable, sellable (for in-game currency only!), or exchangeable between your characters. You will find your gift on the first character you bring into the game after we are able to implement this feature. We anticipate we will have these gifts ready within the next 10 days. And don't worry – all who purchase a Collector's Edition will receive a Thank You Gift!

not to be greedy, but i kinda hope there is a deadline. then there would be less of theese things floating around. makes it a little more special for the ones that actually did have to wait, not just to any mofo who jumped on the bandwaggon when they heard the ce was comming with this.

And what would happen to those of us that have been waiting patiently for the CE that will undoubtedly have to wait even longer until June 30 for the next batch if that were the case? Hm?
I put in a pre-order for the CE, and I'm willing to bet that I will have to wait that long to play because my retailer is incompetent.
I don't see it on the main site, so it should not be taken seriously until a valid link is provided.

A deadline would be so wrong.
The first batch of CEs are already sold out in some areas, some people wil have to wait until June 30 for the second batch!
Two months without Factions?!? They deserve TWO Dragons!

all i was really getting at was it would be nice if they could somehow manage who gets a dragon, so not everyone and their dog have them. as long as they sell CE's with dragons, from now on 95% of the people that buy factions will buy the CE. ya, the dragon is cool, but we all know that the biggest reason its cool is cause it's limited. if everyone in the game had one, then it would be the most gay mini in the game. Then what kind of gift would that be to the ones like us that had to wait?
but of course, they're not gonna limit theese until everyone has had a fair chance at getting a CE & a dragon. But if they let it go too long, then you can say goodbye to your special dragon, cause it'll be as cool as poop

will the big minipets be a help or an hindrence?
for one thing you could accidentally think the dragon were the ranger's phoenix pet and attack it in the HEAT of the battle, and get the smack down a second before you realize your mistake, that you can't attack that dragon
anyway, interesting

Finally a fair and reasonable argument being presented... But unfortunately, if the first batches of mini-pets are sellable, then any mini-pets regardless of circumstances needs to be sellable. What do you think is better? People spending extra money on CE to support the developers of the game and in return get items that may be worth a good sum in game, or people using that extra money and use fleabay or other sources to buy gold? We all know it's against the policy, but does it stop everyone from doing so? Just like we all know what the speed limit is when we're driving, but are we all going to be doing that? And stop saying you get those extra junk with the boxes. I can bet you those extra junk doesn't cost anywhere near $20-30 for those items. Stickers, book, cd, etc... figure out the costs of those items and you'll be surprise those extra items only costs $2 or so to make. I'm sure the marketing for the game costs way more.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem, seeing as how it's a lot smaller than the real thing, and it doesn't attack anything anyways so you wouldn't find it much of a threat. In PvP I generally try to take out the owner of the pet first anyways, he/she usually does more damage. I'd guess the dragon would dissapear after the owner died, if you can even take those out in PvP.

Seeing as how the birthday mini's are random and how one person might want a turtle while the other wants a hydra, but they both get something different, I think it's totally acceptable that they're tradeable. Might as well give us the oppertunity to get what we want, instead of being stuck with a bone when we want crackers. And, because of suppy and demand they're gonna cost a ton, but after 1 year, they'll be as cheap as dirt. Every fad comes and goes just like the last one. This too will pass. But i agree with anet on their decision to make mini's tradeable. Analogy: Why trap us in a mud hole when they dont know if we like being dirty or not?
