Whaddya think?

They DO need to get DP -- the point of the game is to DP the opposite team out...so that would be a bit cheating :P

... *sigh*
I said UNFAIR kills. When someone on Team B crosses the line and kills Team A, the rules state the a ref will kill the B-offender with obsidian flame.
But, what is to prevent a Team B member from purposefully breaking the rules? If B-player has 20% DP, but they count that A-player has 50%.... why shouldn't B cross the line and kill A? Even though B will get flamed by the ref, the person on team A now has 60% DP--and now will not res. Team B has cheated, but has benefited.
I was suggesting only that the refs take Unyielding Aura, so that they could res the unfairly killed A-player. A-player should not have been killed in the first place, so the DP they got was unfair. Unyielding Aura gives them a "free life", to account for this.

It wasnt the setting up the tournament that took months, it was putting together the ideas for the video, and we have (almost) a full site build (waiting for the domain now) -- this whole process has taken almost 2 months... but we played 'dodge ball' back in Nov 2005, just recently we thought about making a tournament...

I'm not raging here or anything, but tbh I think it was a very childish thing to say "OMG We had the idea for AAAAAAGEEEES MAN" (Yes, I know you said months) -and with that, I'm not saying that you are a bad person or anything, I have no idea who you are, but -just the comment, a little childish.
I don't really want to make an argue out of this, don't start a war or anything >_<

I'm part of a guild competeing in the tournament. I have a quick question. It states that you must CROSS the flag stand, now does CROSSING mean that your entire character must be past it? Are you allowed to be on the line and not in trouble or must you stay completely on your side? Don't know if it's been asked before, but it's late and i'm tired. =P

if you are gonna make someone to die just to film the matches make sure you have the refs be e/mo's that way they can carry a res spell to res the guy so the people can dp him out before the rounds start so he won't get rezzed at the 2 min mark and miss parts of the match
cool idea wish i read this thread earlier to sign up

Is what he meant there I think lol - yeah on our practice last night while I made some really good kills there were a few times I suddenly found myself either RIGHT on the line or right over it and once I lagged WAY over and was just like WTF!
The one time I was way over I did everything I could to backup and couldn't and I accidently made a kill so I stood there and gave the other team their free kill on me. I guess I will have to kill every possible running program this evening for the match. -_- (Well except GW of course)
[Te] is going to PWN us

Congratulations to [TE], who will move on to the next round.
All participants, please keep watch on the thread. The rules have changed, so please be keep up to date by checking the thread here and at GWonline. It's not good to play without knowing the rules. ^_~

yes, congratz. good, close match.
on another note:
especially not good to play when the rules are changed in game a ref, after the other ref assured us of the written rules <,<
Edit: note - Assurance of written rules happened after new rules were suggested.
*shrugs*
a rematch wouldve been nice

Congrats TE and those still to play, good luck and have fun!
Original rules in this thread no longer valid, obviously - check with GWonline (or at least till this one has been updated)
