I got that email about the delayed date too............we pre-ordered (I did so in January) you'd think they would have SOME idea with the orders at that time how many people wanted the collectors edition!
and for those of you berating the people who are complaining------pretend you are a bride and you are getting married this weekend, you dress is supposed to be here tomorrow----BUT your dressmaker calls you up and says that it wont be ready for at least another week (at the earliest).........how would you feel?

People are complaining because we paid money for a product and service that were to be supplied at a certain time....now the company is renegining on that deal. Yes, we are understandable upset and it has nothing to do with the game itself, but the bad business practices of the company(s) associated with its release/sales.

Yes I am pissed off too.

That gives no argument to the fact that people are not perfect, and make mistakes. And comparing the purchase of a PC game to a wedding? Come on, thats just tells me how serious you take a game.

Stop excusing them, it is their job to make sure stuff gets out on time, that is why release dates exist. You can't say release date is x then plan everything around that release date then change it two days before release.

wtf... does this mean if ordered the CE online i cant get it till June 30th, if so NCSOFT YOU GUYS SUCK, i shall never buy a game after factions from them again.

luckily i just emailed them to exchange my copy for the regular one, just an hour and a half away from not being able to...

Ive been reading the latest announcement about the CE over and over.

It isnt very clear if they are talking about the "new copies" being June30th. or being the entire shipment of CEs...

Will there be copies of CE for some customers who pre-ordered?(like a cut-off list?) or are they stating that "All CE copies will be released June30th"...

/sorry but it's not very clear.

added: from guildwars.com: "In order to correct this shortage, we are currently producing additional copies of the CE. These copies have an anticipated ship date of June 30th."

^This is what I said from a similar thread (started before this of course. merge would be good.)

The announcement really sounds so vague still....Are they only referring the June30th date to the "shortage copies of the CE" or the entire/existing shipment of CEs...

I think customers who pre-ordered at a certain cut-off point should still be getting it on release or a delay of 1 week...???

/I myself isnt 100% certain and this is soo open to interpretation.

/We really need a clearer/official answer. Oy...this boggles the mind atm...

It should be a first come first serve. So, if you order CE really really late... you got the right to be worried.

I think it is that, with all the pre-order, some minority might have been left out of CE and leave no left over for shelves. Now they are producing more, so they can put some on the shelves, and MAYBE fill the minority.

The post on official site seem positive, so I assume that they were able to meet all CE preorder demand; while the problem is that, they got none left for the shelf.

this just means that there was really no malfunction or anything, and no delay, and stores are bound to have CE, just a limited ammount... so my gamestop is holding a copy for me... muaha... eat that!

I pre-ordered my CE over a month ago, but given this situation, I'm going to try to get my hands on a regular edition and cancel my CE. No way is it worth this trouble, let alone possibly waiting until the end of June. ANet and NCSoft screwed the pooch on this one. IMO, it's been a disaster from the beginning when correct info wasn't presented about which stores had which editions. I'm really disappointed.
