Went to another BB and guy said it was to early to get any infromation and shit. It was funny becuase i got it from another BB, which is closer. It said that some people that work at BB are asses and some arn't. This one will not be getting my money next week.

I will check my local BB today and see what I can see. I am a little put off by this whole pre-order process. It has been somewhat frustrating and more than a little confusing at times.

I would have just liked to have been able to walk into a store, pre-pay the entire ammount, and obtain a key (by e-mail or whatever) that would allow me to access Factions permanently. Wouldn't NCSoft make more money selling me a simple access key for $50 than they would forcing me to go get a box complete with contents for the same ammount?

Today i rang my local EB to check on the status of my collectors edition arrival, they said the normal release is arriving on the 28th but CE is GLOBALLY delayed for 1 week or more.... now feeling like i've just been fed bullshit after looking around the internet for proof of this claim, i'd like to know if anyone else has been told this. please dont flame eb, i dont have any other local gaming stores, and if you can please ring your game supplier and check the status of your CE preorder before i ring EB and bitch at them.

This is VERY possible. I was checking the store level status @ Best Buy and it used to say that my store was going to get 6 copies, but today it was saying 0.

I just checked GameStop where I ordered mine before. My order is still slated for the same date how ever you can no longer order the ce.

GameSpot? or GameStop? because if its GameStop... then....Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Hey at least preorderers get to play the game a day early from release. Except for those who have all 4 spots filled with PvE characters.

I use 3 for pve and that last slot for whatever the fu-shizzle i want.

I can also confirm this, I seriously JUST got off the phone from my EB store in Brisbane, Australia. They are ringing all pre-order customers of the CE edition of Guild Wars:Factions telling them that they have been contacted by their supplier stating that there will be a 1 week delay in the release of the CE. The Standard Edition however will be released on the 28th as originally planned. The girl said something about manufacturing issues or something (Dont quote me on that.) She also asked if I wanted to shift back to the standard edition, but because I'm getting two days of free play via my pre-order, I thought that 6 days or so of wait (I hope that's all it is) isn't too bad for all the extra goodies...which better be good or i'll be angry.

i'm in nz, and i'm pretty sure we get the european version of CE so it could be the cloth pictures or something, so america might not be affected...

That's true, I was under the impression that Australia was getting the European CE even though we got the American Pre-Order...So who knows? I think she said it was a global delay and wasn't any fault of the retailers (EB).

I just checked www.ebgames.com and the CE page has been dropped and leads to a dead link. When you click on the normal link for GW:F now it only lists the standard editions.

Aye, they did that with the Oblivion CE as well. I believe they do that when they've meet their pre-order quota and can't take anymore. They'll usually list it back on the site on the release date or a day before then. Hopefully like Oblivion I'll be able to stroll in the store and pick up a copy.
