and I just want to say: I hate all the titles specific to one char. It is still me who plays, no matter if this is my monk or warrior or whatever char...

just to get back on topic, most pve titles mean nothing. just check the titles of chinese farmers.

I find it ironic that you start your post by quoting someone against saying negative things about other players titles (the way I read it), and end it by doing just that. While it is true that a so called "chinese farmer" would be able to get treasure hunter and wisdom maxed out no problem, I doubt they would go for any of the other pve titles, since they have little to do with farming for gold.
That being said, I think any title, other than perhaps wisdom or treasure, that has been maxed out shows someone who has spent a decent time in game doing something they enjoy.
This thread has certainly shown one thing, that the friction between certain groups of pvp'ers and pve'ers is alive and well...

most of the friction comes from the pve side, by certain players when they encounter a rank based title, goes into a frenzy screaming iway while making posts on this thread.

Honestly, none.
Except maybe as mentioned before, the GvG title.
The titles are for self-congratulatory purposes, (or in some cases, bragging) and so if they make the entitled person feel better or more complete, that's great. I however will neither spurn nor revere another for having a title.

The people with no visible titles. They either haven't bothered to farm one up, or aren't pompous to brandish one like it means anything. ;p

Titles don't impress me really, it just shows ones accomplishments really. Although if I saw somebody with 100% map explored, I'd probably think to myself, "Wow, that's amazing." but I wouldn't shower them with attention over it. PvP emotes don't impress me at all either, but meh, that's just me. Although it does give off kind of a star struck feeling when I come across top ranking guild players. Not that I would rush to get them in my party or anything though.

I don't need no stinking title. Real men don't need title's. Just play the game and have fun.
P.S
Going outside and play some hoops is much better than spending 100+ hours trying to get a title.

None of them really, maybe the GvG one simply because they have teamwork
to get that title. Friend of the Kurzick since farming Kurzick faction isn't as
easy as farming Luxon faction. 95-100% Cartographer is pretty good as well.

The second drunkard title. Staring at a wobbly screen (or indeed, just putting up with not being able to play) for 10,000 minutes shows real dedication, not to mention deep pockets. :P

While I certainly agree that the GvG title is a highly respectable one, I don't get it why GvGers always seem to have to belittle others. You guys really consider yourselves to be 1337, don't you? Other titles are respectable in their own fields as well (such as Hero or the Protector titles, among others) and hinting that GvG is the only thing in GW requiring skill is - sorry - flamebait.
And I am totally sorry to say that skill is a function of time, too. Time equals practice and practice equals skill. Everyone can learn how to GvG just as everyone can learn how to walk.

time equals practice, yes, practice does not equal skill.
sure, people can learn how to gvg, but it is a matter of skill, learning it, developing it, etc.
all of the other titles can be farmed mindlessly. hell, you can get the 'protector' titles by hitting c and space, same with the hero titles, I'd know :P.
if gvg title is active during ladder freeze it can just be farmed tho making it as pointless as all other titles.
