Besides the Rit skills, yeah they do look like god awful blobs of crap :S

Anet rectify this gross injustice and fire the artist who used paint to make the skill art! And stop using Dev faces on the icons

With that name and the graphic, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Necro spell of course right? Wrong, dead wrong, its a monk smite spell.

Ok, so at least they have high-res skills, they should at least give us an option to use which ones we want.

1st so it doesn't cost lag for peeps running this on low spec. PCs.

2nd so the peeps that have high spec. PCs can enjoy the game fully.

When i was playing the FPE i thought the Ritualist spells looked pretty good art wise, every single Assassin skill looked either crap or the same as another 3.

as far as the ritualist ashes. what the hell would you do if not make a bunch of faces..

also. they are definitely not screenshots from the game. just look at them. 50% of them don't even look like anything i've encountered ingame. the other half mostly have their head turned in an odd way that an NPC would never do.

Sitting here and looking at that now, I can finally make out what the image is (the green glow over the mouth)

But anyway, i think most of the new skill icons are very good and I generally don't have any trouble distinguishing one from another.

Really, Word of Censure does look crap. I can see what you mean now, its a picture of half a face done in very dark colours on a green background with a completely unrelated green light in his mouth.

Seriously, i always thought White was the sign of purity, the sign of God sorta stuff, what the hell does green have to do with anything!

You know what we need, a Caption competition. Take a Factions picture that quite obviously looks like a Dev with weird colour effects and add text to it

Eg.

The high res ones do look much better I must admit, but I still think alot of them do not meet the quality of Prophecies icons. Plus many of the ashes spells look like Klingons from ST:TOS.
