wowowowow, you redefine my understanding of the word condescending, sir.
you're playing an mmo, 'nuff said, grow up, not everyone has the time to sit in LA, buy low from nubs and sell high to addicted collectors.

LMAO NEWS to you guys, most fow armour is ugly I mean compare luxon 15k for warrior and necromancer male to fows armour.
The rangers armour looks outdated, if anything it needs to be redone.

not by any means trying to flame you, just stating something. the devs have said gw is designed for the casual player, so if the casual player can get the nicely styled armor, awesome. if they increase the mats making it impossible for the casual player to acheive high end items, the defeats the initial goal.

Half agree with you there, it was rare at one point but now its not, making it more expensive wont get rid of the current sets everyone has, like with monk fissure, it cost half the price of a normal fissure set not long ago, now its back to normal its still the most common set as people got hold of it while it was cheap.
Ive been hoping for new high end sets of armor, perhaps more pricey and better looking than fissure.

Did I say I'm a casual player? No! I didn't! I have three accounts, yeah, but didn't pay for one. Two of 'em are pure storage.
I have fissure, sure, I have way too much gold, alright- but I like the fact that I can stop playing the game so intensely and still be able to maintain a semi-high amount of gold [through casual farming or whatever you choose] and not have to spend a million hours doing so or ever turn to ebay or other outside sources for gold income. And, I know you weren't implying it, but I didn't say you should get a life-- just that some people do have busy lives and lack the time to play the game as intensely and frequently as some of us here.

I agree something should be done to lessen the gazillions of people with Fissure armor. Making it more expensive is not the solution. Someone who sees fit to eBAY 1 million gold could just as easily eBAY10 million gold too.
The solution is to make the acquistion of Fissure armor become skill-based rather than eBAY-based or hardcore farming-based. Ie: you must complete the entire Underworld, Fissure of Woe, and maybe even all the Titans' quests to get Fissure armor.

thats an interesting point..imo many ebayers are school kids except the few dedicated ebayers 10mill=$500 dollars that takes school kidds out the question
out of all the rich ppl i know most only own 1-2 sets..why? because fow armor isnt an investment..it makes them look the part
maybe the introduction of "better" armor is better then raising the price

Ah, I had no idea it would be that expensive.
In that case, the original poster (you) has a good point.
I still think my suggestion and/or clarianaeneas's suggestion are better than the original suggestion though.

I farmed for 1 week straight and was able to afford my Fissure armor, it is pretty easy though, but still, that one week of farming was a pain, and enough imo, I definately don't wanna farm anymore.
I think you're problem is the fact that people BUY their money for in-game money, there's not much you can do about it though, if people wanna waste money on in-game money you should just let them.

Ya, right, and this would un balance the game, making the ppl wanting to buy FoW armor for the stats, and wanting ppl to get it. So, and because not everyone is a hard core farmer or lucky on some drops...they are going to go to Ebay and buy the money there...
The stats are the same for a reason, as to keep the game in balance.
