i'm afraid permasiel and jr bring up very valid points. there are some very questionable builds with high ratings and some decent ones with hardly any votes.
it's a great thing that ew is getting the community involved, but i wonder how they will reconcile the possible abuse of the voting system. even if the final decision is made by them out of the top 5 builds, what if the top 5 builds are utter crap with high ratings due to a system abuse?
anyway, here's my contribution to add another crappy build to the list:

No really, they shouldn't.

It would be even more hilarious when the monk you faced simply CoPed off Surge or Prot Spirited, etc. It's a bad, but funny, build, because it depends on the other team not sucking or not having a monk. At any rate, I'm sure it kill speople, because there are a lot of stupid poeple in RA, but that's not a good basis to use a build. You should plan to kill good players. They're the ones that'll give you the most trouble.

I just hate it that people are submitting gimmick crap to be used as template. As template!!
As JR said, there is lot of crap there atm, and filterng thru it s somewhat difficult. Touchrangers FTW?? Ow, cmon!!
Just to wonder what this voting thingie will accomplish (and just how much voters themselves are proficient)...There should be some "board" for judging builds and these ppl should be experts, not some random PvE farmers.

I really would like to see EW picking something out of at least the top 20, better top 50 builds...the voting system just doesn't make sense now and can be abused too easily.

I deleted it; due to comments that my rants about the competition were purely to boost the rating of my submission.
Some kind person seems to have re-submitted it skill for skill though, and strangely enough with the same build title aswell.

They can abuse it all they like, they're just wasting their own time. If people mess around all the time we'll just pick whatever build we see fit.

Presumably the build submission was offered to the top guild for a reason - doesnt opening it up to anyone off the street kinda defeat the purpose?
I hope EW merely takes ideas from the submissions, and dont feel constrained to choose from the most voted in any way. Maybe they should discuss the issue with the other guilds from the finals?
Different people seem to want different things from the templates...
I'd prefer builds that are commonly used in GvG and PvP... so that if someone asks you to "bring a boonprot" you can just choose it from a template and have something pretty close, just swapping out a skill or two to fit the team build.
I'd prefer not to have any wierd gimmick builds in the template list... didnt we learn our lesson from the first set of templates?!

Well, keeping in mind they have other templates they're working on too, most voted might be an advantage if it was genuinely voted that way, but in the interest of variety they'll probably at least LOOK at everything that was submitted--not everyone promotes their build, not everyone is willing to try the weird builds, etc...
I figure, if they had enough judgement to become #1 in the first place, they've got the judgement to oversee their own contest.
