er....yeah...thats smart....lets pay the monks and then decide to put aggro on them? WOW! now you have a chance to fail the mission and start all over again! and when your paying for a monk, time=money.
Good Game!

*shrug* I see it as paying for a service, just like I'd pay for a warrior or a ranger to run me somewhere. If you don't like it, or think the price is too high, then don't make use of the service. Or, better yet, offer to do the same run for less or for free, and run these guys out of business.

Money sure makes the world go round.
Personally, I never paid anybody to help me out on any quest or mission, no matter how low the fee.
Last week a guy who was still on my friends-list offered me 4K to be run from Beacons to the Courthouse.
I refused to take the money, but I ran him anyway.
I told him: "If you offer me money again, you can run yourself"
He called me "mad", but otherwise kept his silence.

I spent months helping teams through missions in the game, from offering free Galrath runs aaages ago (I think i invented the run, not sure, but it was very, very popular!) to advice and monkage though the harder missions, i made some friends that way, and in the ring of fire I only ever asked for the mursaat tokens still even then some people said i was a scammer...but some people are idiots; your 3 mursaat tokens for a 1st class monk, hmmm. I'm not 'against' a player asking for money to be a mercenary, but I would expect that player to be really good, and frankly, that's far from guaranteed.
