Yes, actually. It's like PvE tombs all over again. Interesting weapons for rangers and warriors, casters all get the same 10/10 staff with a different req and some bad offhands, only this time, with fans.
---- You can't have everything And casters don't have to rely fully on their weapons anyway..
Again, yes. No offense to the artists (concept and 3d), but the vertebreaker is a very plain looking sword.

1* lvl 28 boss (necro)
2* lvl 24 bosses (mesmer+necro)
I'm the only person to notice them, and everyone's dismissed their presence. I'll laugh and laugh when one of those bosses pops a green.

I happen to like my Vertebreaker...I happily traded my Platinum Bow i used for pulling in exchange for it in my first run to the Deep...
Ironically, I've farmed those oni a lot lately, with guildies mainly and sometimes alliance members. -_- i have yet to get another to drop for me despite seeing dozens of them drop. My ranger-sin needs one...

I don't think it would look so bad if it was designed into the game better, now it just looks bland and half-assed, especially compared to how they have done other swords. I guess instead of making a whole new sword they just wrapped a skin around an old one.
Or the Guild Was engine just doesn't support what should've been done with the sword, either way it looks kinda lame.

That's how I feel about the Totem Axe. The design looks great, the implementation...not so much IMO. I was more than happy to sell the one I picked up and don't think I'll be looking for any more. Been there, done that.
Note: This isn't a bitch or whine. Just an observation. I really appreciate that Anet has added new weapons into the game. It helped to recharge some of the excitement that I think has been missing since the initial release of Factions.

You know seriously, I don't care if monks got another stupid little generic fan, I just need new stuff to add to my monk collection of.... stuff.
Even though Wen's Chalice is possiblity the suckiest monk item for a monk to use, EVER +45 while enchanted, and 20% off crippled (dazed actually might be better)
Even a Soulstone shines next to this pathetic little focus.
But I have it anyway, for the collection, even though I have never used it.

My monk has too much shit already
Seriously though, I commend ANET for adding stuff to prophicies thus keeping new and old customers happy by giving ch 1 only chars the equivelant of some of the ch 2 greens and allowing them to have more since they cant get into Cantha and may not have the money to buy them. Also a lot of people just get run past the jungle, so this gave a lot of people the chance to go explore it.

i saw a warrior from WM using this shield...i double checked the cokeplay item thread just too make sure this wasn't a cokeplay shield. figured it's probably a new item.
unfortunately the picture doesn't really help much, just vies you an idea of what one of the items might look like :/

People can pick up Factions crap in LA already, it would be easy enough for one of them to ask a guildie to go into kaieng and purchase a... ironclaw and return to la and sell to the guildie.
The only thing they TRUELY miss out is armor and missions/faction points stuff.
BTW, my monk has 6 suits of armor, counting the one he wears, all monk greens, a few other caster greens (like an inspirtation wand/focus stuff) and he has 4 different +5 energy items.
I have an entire mule character that holds his armor and some of his stuff, while my monks inventory (maxed out) is packed with green items.

I've cleared Wajjun Bazaar twice with no green drop. I must have killed a couple hundred Jade Brothers.

*uses Caltrops* Noou!! Jungle is supposed to be a quiet (well theres trolls...) and safe place. ~_~
As much as the hunt for treasure excites me it saddens me that one of my favorite "hidden" places, the Falls, is now a farming ground ;-;
So few people ventured into that area even with the Blood and Smoke quest, theres no reason to explore that DEEP into the falls.

A Guildmate of mine said you could see if they are wielding the fan, (just like the Ice Breaker from Mighty Grawls). and yes he did get it in that area

I look at it sort of like Mineral Springs. Before the IDS, there was no reason to go there unless you were skill capping or had Defend Droks (Titan Quest). Except that The Falls had even less reasons to visit unless you just wanted to go someplace different.

Any particular profession? I can't seem to solo the rits, or they at least take forever. And the bosses that are protected by the rits are impossible for me as well.

well the monster with the attribute of the fan usually drops the item
so if its curses its a necro, hammer a warrior, etc...
there are some exceptions

Well! Rotscale is a large beastie!
Me and 3 guildies decided to take him on last night.
So, we clear a path, get all set up, and our warrior runs in to hold aggro. that many things attacking him, im surprised my build idea held up. but it did, and we cleared everything around rotsacle in like a minute, maybe less. then, smoke phantoms ganked us, and the warrior had to come down, kill them, and rez us.
we went back up to ole rotty, and started beating on him. to everyone! rotscale is a mighty wuss. unless he changes aggro to someone else, of course. whatever the case, it took about 45 min of hacking at him to kill.
Our estimate was atleast 15000 hp. thats a lot. we got a bow! tonite, i will mod the build so it works on such high hp, and see how fast we can make it
