Besides, green items still hold prestige in factions, they are harder to find, sinc ethey aren't contained in one area.
Now it's rare chance someone gets a green.
I mean, how many Kaolin Protection Staffs do you see atm in Kaieng now hmm?
Compared to the number of Zodiac swords?

I guess, but it will be 99% casters that are using it. =\
Longer enchantment duration and +5 energy = caster weapon even if it has an axe skin.
I'm gonna get one for my Necro!

Greens are about giving casual gamers who don't have the time/ don't like to spend hours farming everyday, access to high end weapons. They aren't there so you can top off your storage with an extra stack of ecto.

Sadly it takes people away from Tomb and Sorrows Furnace. Why go to those 2 places when Greens can be had so damn easy now? Maybe A-Net should just rip out Sorrows Furnace and Tomb so that way it is even more easier for people to get Greens in Cantha and all over Tyria. Seems Tomb and Sorrows Furnace have become quite useless now.

The biggest problem with Tombs is the caster greens suck, and the ranger and warrior greens are no different than some of the more easily gotten greens, although with different skins.

Theres alot of SF and Tombs green still floating around. (besides sf was nerfed so it's a little harder than the normal to do)
Besides the system (as I see it) works like this.
A few groups will keep farming all the old areas (probably on average 20+groups killing each green boss a day on all the old areas)
The hardcore farmers rush a spot when a new green is discovered (lets say, 300 groups farm a day) then they oversupply the market, then alot will fly around until some people dedice to take them. (like kepkets refudge, barely anyone farming that place, but it might be easy to find one off anothe rplayer for yourself)
If anything, we need more Totem Axes in the market than Victos Blade.
Greens don't often disappear (if they do, its due to accidential march), many people sell them off when they don't need them so theres still plenty of them around.
But A-net is smart wiht this, it means casual people out to cap an elite, or do a quest might find a boss with a new green and sell that green for a little cash. (I found Ritual Lord's Staff just out elite capping and sold it for 60k)
So let the overfarming begin, and ill wait until these are like 10 a piece. (btw this isn't a high level area so you can go with small farming groups, and easy kill all the enemies)

Yeh... because all warriors need +5e instead of a dmg mod. ;o
Yeah, not really liking the sundering on this one, helps neither caster nor warrior.. but meh. Already got my Raj's for my monk.

My guesses:
There are probably several different areas, each having one green that drops randomly within it. Contenders could be: Majesty's Rest, The Arid Sea, Witman's Folly, Dreadnought's Drift, Ice Floe, Perdition Rock, Mourning Veil Falls, Rhea's Crater, Raisu Pavillion, Unwaking Waters (explorable), and just about any other area that people wouldn't visit much normally. Farmers, start your engines...
I jumped back into Ventari to see a mass of "LFG for Falls farming" messages... what have I done?!
(My guildmate asked me to sell the axe for him, it's now in the High End forum if anyone's interested )

It's helluva easy to solo the area if you arn't a game abusing 55 monk.
I will go hit up undead areas with my monk later.

Okay, Ow. Did Rotscale always hit for 178+ with feast of corruption? And sit at level 30? The level might be the same, but I remember killing him with henches back in the day, and he just butchered us all in about 5~ seconds.
I also loaded some files upon entering the area, so I'd say... probably something worth looking at.
Edit: Looked at the guildwiki entry. Rotscale is listed as an eliteless monk nonboss. Considering he's now a necro and most assuredly a boss, I'd say, looks like drops ahoy. I just can't come close to killing him.
