when the festival was announced, Anet mentioned something about new mini-missions that we can participate in. I havn't see any mini missions yet, has anyone heard anything about this?

I think you mean quests, if so, then yes tehre are new quests.

Participants in the Dragon Festival can join in fun carnival-type games (Whack-A-Worm, anyone?), play new mini-missions and special PvP gameplay, undertake unique quests, and collect Asian-flavored treats such as red bean cakes and rice wine. (this is copied and pasted from guildwars.com)

I have seen everything else mentioned here in game excpt the mini-mission part.

its still early into the festival. if they add all the stuff in on day 1, every would get bored by day 2

yeah I had seen that too and mentioned it in the Captain Rujiyo thread. I think that either he might show up and lead the way to the mini-missions, or they have bugs with them and left them out altogether (as well as the captain, which is why nobody can find him anymore).

yeah, i think nataku's idea makes sense that they will just continue to add new things in as the event progresses, but if they dont do it soon there wont be much time to actually do the things . . .

if they dont do mini missions bye tomorrow, complain to guild wars and they might add it in by ummmmmm the day after tomorrow

The thing that sucks about this is that I am going to be working on the "final" day of the festival from 9am to 6pm. Granted, being 4th of July I will be making TWICE what I normally would (which means I'll be working at over $17 an hour), but still....

But I don't blame Anet. I blame my excellent part-time pay-for-college retail career.

BUT... I have Wednesday off! So I'll be up until the event ends!

Probably make another movie like the StarNews23 movie I made (click: http://files.filefront.com/StarNews2.../fileinfo.html) for the ending of the Factions BetaWeekendEvent.
