Thats all they wrote folks... or did they?
This may have been posted before however I feel the need to ask.
Will there ever be more skills for the Assassin and Ritualist?
I mean with the release of new chapters we can guess that there will be more skills for the 6 main classes. However the Ritualist has become very popular and there are so many possibilities for new skills for that class.
Will this be all there is to be for the new classes? or will the new classes get an opportunity to learn more skills than what is provided?

I remember reading something from ANet that the Assassin and Ritualist classes were only going to be native to Cantha. You will not be able to create them in other chapters and you will not have additional skills for them in other chapters. However, it is possible that ANet could add new skills for either of them, albeit in Cantha. I wouldn't count on this, but this situation is not precluded by their previous statements.

I recall that as well, but I don't think it's out of the question that they might later introduce a chapter that revisits "old" non-core professions, especially after they've released a few and start running down on good profession ideas.

If ANET will not add any more skills for the Ritualist or Assassin can someone provide evidence of this? Otherwise making a long term Rit or Assassin is kind of pointless.
Admittedly the Ritualist has become my favorite class followed by the monk. Id love to see some more skills added later on.
On the down side if they don't continually improve upon the "Flavor" classes (Rit Sin etc.) Then people will not have much of an interest in the non core classes in the game. This makes non core classes kinda pointless.
I realize the Rit may be only made in cantha but I can't see ANET no longer adding skills for these classes.

I know I read that the new classes would be exclusive to Factions, but I am hoping they include new things for my Rit in Chap. 3.
My Rit fast became my favorite character, and she's the only one with 15k armor.
I am certain that if I have to leave her behind, and seriously, with no new items, skills, armor to find, I doubt I'd want to play her over another character who could be gaining those things, I will not create a new "Chapter 3 exclusive" character should I buy chap. 3.
And if I won't play new classes, why bother with the game? I can finally make a ranger in Tyria.

It might be wise to have some skills available for Rits and Assassins in future expansions, even if Cantha is the only place where you can create those primaries. For those who are running Factions as a standalone or love these professions, it's an incentive to buy into the next expansion.
It was originally thought that Necromancers and Mesmers would be exclusive to Prophecies, and not "core" classes. The new skills for Necros and Mesmers were the #1 reason I bought Factions -- so if they had not been there, my buying choice might have been a "wait and see" one.

Just as I and probably many other had thought.
But, by the time core classes reach grounds like chapter 6, their skill list going to be so huge and those exclusive classes will only be left out cold (although the exclusive probably maintain their niche, but I doubt that is going to be able to compete with the variety of ways core class can threaten one).
If they are not going to support Assassin or Ritualist continuously, it would probably get VERY hard for these two or any future exclusives to find party in PvE or PvP (it is already not so easy even now).
It is not like Assassin and Ritualist is god-like, and their role can defintely be seen dim when the core classes recieve 4-6x more number of skills.
