Overall I'd say the festival games were a good idea and hope to see more of those in future (maybe less inclination for the Charmed to be AFK titles hehe)
The Emperor/run around and grab prizes was hmm, nothing special really - Mad King was far superior and much more enjoyable as was the Wintersday finale.

Despite all the bugs that were in the festival, I enjoyed it. I didnt have enough time to participate in the dragon arena and other games, I really wanted the lucky title too At least I got all my PvE chars masks though Hopefully theres another Dragon Festival next year.

Thank you ANet for all your efforts! Despite the bugs and lack of a finale, it was fun.
P.S. Seriously, a little play-testing next time before release.. please..

I enjoyed the festival as well. I think the current festival machanics (e.g., you have five days to get your orbs, can get mask every two hours and then a supplymaster is available for a week after) is perfect. I didn't experience and significant bugs (I saw four emperors once but no big deal) and think it went rather well.
For future festivals, I would prefer if most presents went straight into your inventory. I liked the way the Mad King did it personally. There *should* be some incentive to be present (e.g., maybe earn extra gifts by being there). I thought that having *all* gifts drop (requiring that you grab them) was a bit too far in that direction though. I would suggest that the main character give some items (rice wine, cakes) directly to inventory, and drop *some* gifts.
Overall, I liked the way the festival was run and really enjoyed it. I hope that future festivals work this way (especially the mask part).

Well done event. And personally, I agree that a single finale is impractical with players all over the world - much better to have repeats throughout the day.

Thank you ANet! Though I didn't really get into the game portion of the event, I though it was very clever and nicely done. I will miss being able to get into that section of Shing Jea after the update. (so beautiful there with the dragon bridge...) The Dragon Masks look wonderful! =)

^^ I only got to participate in 1 time in the event since my computer had a major trojan/spyware/virus blockage yesterday, but i did manage to have fun in that short period.
If you were in American Dis 63 last night around 9ish, i was the one dropping all the snowmen and pulling out all the ghosts in a box XD
I think what was most fun was getting the celestial charges, because for some reason, the local chat turned into video game (specifically Star Fox 64) reference central because people were running from the baddies ^^
"Fox! Help me! I can't shake him!"
"Do a barrel roll to shake him off!"
"Use the boost to chase!"

Though I did finish some of the mini-missions, I didnt find the time to do the last 3... I hope there is a small chance for a Tombs-like update that is permanent so that we can all still enjoy partying with the Grasps.

Very fun. I really enjoyed it.
What I hope is that after a few years, there'll be close to a festival every month (i.e. Wintersday, Halloween, Dragon Festival). Seasonal content ftw.
