WoW raped Mages once. They went WAYYY beyond changing some pointless modifiers on shields, They FREAKIN REMOVED SKILLS FROM THE GAME - forget nerfing them into being useless. Or Ultima...The source of the term "nerfing" when certain weapons (sword class) were turned so bad they said that they were hitting with nerf-bats and thus dubbed the entire term...

Of course you had Mages Screaming and Leaving then in WoW...like you do Warriors now in Guild Wars - over frankly a less important topic.

how the hell did warriors get nerfed? they now take a little bit more damage against elements. how does that make them unusable? everyone is like zomg i take 8 more damage end of the world zomg.

its mainly the farmers more then anyone else
usually farmers are taking damage from multiple sources at at ime
that little 2-8 damage adds up fast

The changes being made today I feel are based on the future of the game and what's to come, not (and no longer) based on the current state of the game, nor its past. You'll kick yourself when the 2 new classes present themselves with weapons that aren't capable of being modified with element damage, or the new skills that might change element damage to physical.

Seriously, think of how ArenaNet is balancing for the future, not the present or past. Also, think of it as a reconditioning period, and get to know what the rest of the game is really about by changing your old pattern of thought, rather than that 'godly' weapon that cost you 100K+30 ecto (which I could get for a few behemoth jaws or kappa shells), and the first 4 buttons on your skill bar that never seem to change, because you won't. No worries, I'm not attacking anyone in particular, just adding my 2-3 cents is all.
