Disscusion: possible solution to prevent "cookie cutter" builds
I have an idea i'm not to sure on how fesable it is, but it might help prevent some problems.
I've been reading up about alot of problem people are having problems geting into groups unless they are a specific build, i have also had the same problem.
and also how certain builds seem to be dominating (IWAY, Touch rangers etc.)
i have a suggestion on how to prevent the problem, and also keep the game fresh.
I know may people will not like this idea and i would like feedback on improvments. please do not sign/unsign i would like actual suggestions.
Proposed idea:
On a regular basis, each week(?) or so
All skills in the game have there stats changed ie. dmg/healing/recharge/cast times change
This would require a random generator for numbers for each skill, but within limits of course to prevent 1000dmg firballs
again i'm not to sure how effective/fesable it would be
but from what i can see this will have the following benefits:
1. Prevent cookie cutter builds (as everything changes)
2. Would enforce creativeness within the game instead of everyone using the same builds.
3. Stop people requiring a specific build to join a party.
4. make PvP more intresting (people will now have to be alot more adaptive)
5. Makes it alot harder for Bots (I think it might as 55 builds might become obsolete for periods of times when the nesserary skills are hit).
6. Keep the game on its toes as you don't know what to expect
7. Stop people complaing about nerfs/buffs overpowering the game
Your making a solution for something thats not a problem. Changing skills each week would ruin GW. If you have a problem with a cookie cutter build, go with guildies. Closed before you get burnt alive.
