Boyfriends/Girlfriends and the game?
I was just wondering what your partners think of you playing the game? Lucky my boyfriend is a complete MASSIVE NERD that he doesn't mind. Anyone ever cracked it at you because you play too much?

My boyfriend and I live together and fortunately (or - now I come to think about it - perhaps unfortunately?) we are both addicts so we play together in the evenings too. It's a good money saver rather than sinking our spare cash down the pub every night for fun!

So is it true that a couple that plays together stays together? Haha, sorry that was terrible.

Got it for my girlfriend. She doesn't have broadband yet though. So we LAN at my place. She doesn't play as much as I do though.

Do you think, and this is just a hypothetical question for my own interest, that if she started playing more and got 'better' at the game than you, you'd be jealous/insecure? I've often wondered about that...

Sometimes, heh. I heard of one or two people who met in an mmorpg, but I don't know if that was just an urban myth...

My fiance and I both play. We live together, so unluckily sometimes, it amounts to our quality time when we arehome together. But beyond, its kinda neat to have someone who you can talk with beyond TS and Vent.
If you were asking about how many folks on here have significant others, I've found alot of couples and married folk play this game.

I think thats kinda cool, that couples play the game together. I wonder if it started out as one person bringing it home and the other starting up after watching them play for a while....

My girl was actually the one who introduced and got me addicted to the game. It's a great thing having a gamer girlfriend...

During the first season I ran a guild going for the top 100 within in 3 weeks of the end of the season. I spent a lot of time training people, creating builds, helping others unlock skills, and playing GvG.
During that time my g/f got hooked on myspace. Those 2 factors combine nearly destroyed a 3 year relationship
I don't think any game is good unless its something you can both share. Common interest will always keep people together.

Hard to influence them to play it with you but, after that it's well worth it?

My bf got us both a copy of the game for my birthday last September. So that we could play together. We only manage to do so every couple weeks or so if that. He doesn't play nearly as much as I do which has been a source of contention more than once. I do not let in interfere with our time together however.
