Dervish vs. Spiteful Spirit/Empathy
If the Dervish 3-hit-on-auto-attatck behaves like a Ranger's Barrage with relation to Spiteful Spirit/Empathy procs, then Dervishes could die really, really fast. (And with SS, knock their entire group out fast as well...)
I expect to see a lot more "LF SS" in Nightfall outposts. (As opposed to "LF MM...)

I don't see that it would be 3 attacks. They only swing once. As opposed to 3+ arrows with Barrage.

They swing once, thus empathy/SS will trigger once, sometimes assassins are in troubles because of this if they use a dual attack.
BUT!
Insidious Parasite triggers off foes getting hit, so if a Dervish hits 3, he'll get his health stolen thrice. Ultimate Dervish counter, it seems ^^

Besides SS is easy enough to stop from being casted long enough to kill an SS necro. I specifically made my D/Me to target them.

SS and Empathy has almost no effect on Dervish...
Pious Restoration - loses 3 hex!

QFT lol, gj lightblade. And another one here too.
Avatar of Dwayna : Elite Form. For 1...48 seconds, whenever you use a skill, you gain 5...41 Health and lose one Hex. This skill is disabled for 120 seconds.
One question: Is it Dervish = Druid ?

I've taken my necro into RA with my SS aspenwood/quarry build, and I wouldn't depend on SS taking them out fast

Dervishes have very good hex management. I'd go for Inepti/Clumsi/IoR and the likes- things that dish out the damage all at once. When some1 SS me as a Dervish I just use that skill that takes one of your chants off, heals you, and removes like 2 hexes from you if you still got chants on. Whatever it's called. It's 5 cost, 4 recharge, so.... seriously, go for the instakill hexes.

spirit shackles, they don't have mana they can't do nothihg, i applied shackles on some dervish in about roughly 5 games and they became a weak point after that.

Avatar of Melandru, +200 health (why) and immunity to conditions. They do jackshit. Your best hope is to bring an interrupt ranger and simply distract the avatars over and over.
Sorry but hte Dervish is so obviously a rip off of the Druid from Diablo 2. Lemme see, shapeshifting... Wolves and Bears... 'Godly' avatars. Ok thats 1
Wind magic. Tornados/Whirlings etc. Similar style but a different sort of spells.
Earth magic... holy shit something close to a difference.

SS triggers on the attack, not the hit, so 1 swing of the scythe may very well only produce 1 SS trigger.
ANd SS does nothing to a Dervish right now..I haven't seen 1 Dervish acutally attack anything to kill it all day, and Dervishes have insane heals, insane hex and condition removal, etc.

My major gripe is Dervish just aren't team players.
they're the most self contained, self sufficent class I've ever seen. Sure people can take them down, but compare them to a warrior and I feel the warrior becomes really hard done by, Area effect attacks, massive hex removal, massive heals, massive e management.

Problem is just because one build can one on one a dervish doesn't make it a balanced class

Im happy for you that every dervish you ran into was too stupid to precast and bring CoP, in addition to only having to face one of them at a time.

As you ignored the rest of my post, why should i care what you think?
Right... SS triggers on attack not hit. So why does Barrage trigger 4 times when i hit 4 targets exactly? Same thing goes to Empathy? They hit multiple times in a single attack, yet trigger multiple times too.
