People should stop complaining about the concepts. Most of the preliminary ideas come from fansites.

Reminds me of Valks and Valewalkers from DAOC.

This thread is nearly identical to the one earlier this year, where people got their first glimpse at the assassin and started whining about them being "exactly like rangers."

Bring on the new classes, they are just fodder to my elementalist whos been around since beta. I plan on taking my same character through chapter 3. I'm more interested in what these classes can do as secondaries to help my age old ele. With assassins I got to teleport in with starburst, and ritualists gave me some really fun weapon skills to boost my earth magic line. I wonder now maybe E/De, or E/Pa will be able to do something for me

Oh, jeez. I'm tired of people complaining about the professions, for the love of god, go make your own then. It's not as easy as you think.

theres no need to complain,Anet is simply expanding to what most people want, take a look:
monk, warrior, necro, ele, mesmer are pretty basic.
ranger is ranger +beastmaster(depending on what game you know best)
assassin is a nonthieving rogue
ritualist is a dark priest/summoner(ditto on which name you're more familiar with)
dervish=paladin/priest
paragon=bardic type

All they're doing is switching around some names and going with some themed characters to keep things interesting, to keep us from being bored by seeing nothing but the core classes running around. If they keep this up its gonna be totally cool to see what they come obscure stuff they start coming out with.

After 3-4 chapters the game will have DotA flavour - many classes to chose from. It will really be cool Not just differnt builds of same classes but different builds from different classes!
