i dunno why everyone hates on mending wamos in RA...i mean its RA... your build has so little to do with the actual success of your team.... not to toot my own horn, but i am an excellent gw player, and there have been many an evening where i have dominated in RA with a premade paladin (r.i.p old premades), only thing i change is rez sig instead of restore.

Generally, I don't leave until the game kicks me out (case 1), but I have quit before when one person drags out the game and killing them doesn't seem to be viable (11). I don't like to quit, but I'm not to be held prisoner by my preference. Usually however, killing some jerk who is prolonging the game is feasible with attrition or a timely body block.
I'm not sure why there's so much hate for 2 healer teams. Granted, if the other two characters are offense poor, the team will have problems. Having only 1 healer carries its own problems since shutting down one person can leave the whole team vulnerable.

I got plenty of time to waste, so it's ok and I'll admit that RA is a big waste of time, although it's quite a good way to waste it. What upset me is that people go into RA matches demanding a decent team - which they seldom get and then just leave. Isn't the point that it is random teams? As I see it you have a kind of responsibility towards your team whenever you enter a match, quest or mission.
elektra_lucia, your point is quite good one. But I still think you have a responsibility towards the others. It is not just your fun that counts but theirs as well (even if they for some uncomprehensible reason find fun in mending and healing hands...).

What is with all of the hate on mending in this thread? "If I see a wammo with mending, I leave" and others are backing them up on this!? I don't know what your deal is, but I have seen quite successful warriors run mending. It's not an amazing skill, but it is far from something that makes or breaks a build. I think that anyone who leaves simply because they see a warrior on their team use mending is at the very least as big a "n00b" as that warrior, and likely even more so.

With what kind of logic did you work that one out with? They are as big of a noob as the warrior who is using mending? I doubt it... sometimes I guess.
Mending won't make or break the build alone, but I'd say the vast majority of the time it means the person playing the warrior does not have a clue what his task is in PVP - Mending normally comes along side Healing Breeze, Healing Hands.... Bonetti's Defense, and no skills that can actually kill anything... they think they are tanks. And when it comes to the time that the enemy team has a monk who doesn't suck, he won't be able to kill anything, he'll lack the increased attack speed (can't frenzy, that's like double damage yo), he'll have no form of knockdown, and the monk will just lol and cast guardian all day, and you'll get a 20 minute match because you have a bad warrior.
I don't really consider it elitism or whatever leaving on these people... Frankly when I RA I want to actually get somewhere, maybe some people do run succesful mending warriors, actually, occasionally... i've seen people who just use it for their only heal but can actually kill, while i really don't see the point in them using it they do seem to understand their job somewhat... but this is such a rarity. Most people who run it, run it because they want to tank.
But Mending has nothing on Dolyak Signet as far as being a bad PvP warrior goes

mending can be part of an ok ra build: a mending/vicariously battle rage warrior but the vast majority of the time 99.9% its a complete noob with a stupid build and a knights helmet thats going to attack the enemy warrior

I find it hard to tolerate ignorant, stupid nubnubs anymore. I do not blame anyone for leaving when they see mending. It's ridiculous.

I've got this impression that everyone who uses the word "noob", or even worse the leet version "nub", is one.

A mending wammo = a loss (usually) with no fun.
I leave if someone types "helo plz i hop3 u brught da rez".
If I saw someone in real life at a computer typing that, I'd get a knife shove it through their chest to their backbone...

... But I'm sure that's just me imagining things.
