I hate to disagree with you, but anyone that has ever been to Lions Arch, a Gaile meeting, or Kaineng Center district 1 on a weekend night can tell you this is completely untrue.
I have no idea what the actual capacity is, but it is well beyond 50. There are more than 50 people standing at the storage box in Lion's Arch dist 1 that that now, at 6:00am.

For our guild's first birthday we ran around in underwear (ingame, of course) and shouted "TREES!". After we got sick of local chat, we spammed stuff like "WTS tree!!" and similar things in trade chat - it's not as if anyone else would use it.
No, we're not quite sure why, but it was a lot of fun. We also gave away free alcohol, but very few people took up on the offer.
And of course we're German.
