I tried the Deep 6! times today. Every time my warrior, a healer, and a elementalist started in room 4 and quickly killed aspect of exhaustion. Here is what happened afterwards:
Game 1: Everyone elsse died. So we needed to fight our way out of room 4. I died many times, just 3 of us against everything. Finally made it. Most people bailed. So we bailed.
Game 2: Again, everyone else died. As we were fighting out of Room 4, I realized that it was taking so long because we had to kill the Restoration spirits first. We rescued Room 3. But then someone overaggroed and we all ied.
Game 3: Again, everyone else died or gave up. We fought quicker to get out of the room, but then there was a glitch and I got stuck in the floor. Took about 10 minutes to lead some mobs into the room to kill me so that I could get out of the floor. Some people already dropped. We all resigned
Game 4: two dropped when first loading in. We restarted.
Game 5: A chest spawed right outside Room 4. So no one left. Team in Room 3 also killed its aspec and was able to help with the fight. Really hard fighting and killing all the mobs in the first lobby, then the leviathan minds. Then fought outcasts. Had lots of DP. Then got to a room where you couldn't cast spells (Aspect of Failur) and no one had a res sig (I'm a Wammo, and played it that way just because I thought Resurrect would be better than a res sig) So we called it quits at that point. It was basically a wipe.

Story time, yay
Run 1:
Organized inside, nobody listened, had 0 energy.
Run 2:
Didn't listen, people left. Wars loved to aggro everything.
Run 3:
Started bad, people didn't listen to group organizeation. But afterwards we went on. Had a war die in the failure room and nobody could rez, so we had to kill the aspect. We couldn't pull him down, so I went and pulled him using the one way path. One person decided to check out the leviathan, one hit kill and he left after some nice words. Also lost one monk at some point. We cleared the oni in the scorpion room and another monk left, err7 supposidly. So we were down to 2 monks for the bridge area. I have no clue how, but we made it past. Blah blah blah. Group got to Kanaxai, but our SS didn't bring shivers. I had asked him to. Used the double KD method but couldn't take him out. Though the one whammo's mending did help with pulling the nightmares...

If it's too hard, don't go there then... it's optional for a reason. It's at least SOME content for PvErs to enjoy. Seeing as how much people think henchmen are still worse than PUGs, I dont doubt for a moment that people actually have trouble with the rooms. The only hard part for my alliance was figuring out how to drop Kanaxai efficiently. :]

Well even though you paid the same price for the game you never actually did anything to EARN The elite missions.
|
To pay the same price everyone else paid and have you deprived of actual content - unless you yourself go faction farming ( I know there's taxis ,but the original system was as described ) - is not done ,in my book .Content should be accesable to all who paid for the game, period.
The entire system of faction farm/alliances/town cotrol/elite missions needs to be scrapped very fast ,imo. ( hopefully it will not be present in Nightfall ) .

got a best ever deep team today..
A guy shared his guild vent, most ppl are on.
Most of the ppl are experienced, but few are on first run (asking about the 5 panel gate, KD, and what an icy weapon do)
I was monking, didn't pay much attention on how they killed the mobs, but we got really good nukers, necros, tanks, and us monks.
Vent really helps explaining things around.
4 monks, 1 dropped half way, 2 aegis
room 4 got wiped at beginning, while room 2 waits as usual.
Nukers are excellent, in lots of pulls each group mobs drop dead at same time.
BR, BiP, and other stuff too from necros.
Oh, we got the warriors go in to kd kanaxi twice ...one draws the mobs sideways then recall back.
All ppl are happy... very lucky to meet those guys ^.^

I think if you are using vent, its not really a pug. Vent requires special software that usually only guildies would have, correct?
BTW, I don't really think the mission sucks. I can see this as being a fun challenge for guilds and well organized teams. I'm justnot really into making and maintaining online friends (hard enough keeping in contact with real-life friends all over the world). And I play in a different time-zone from most people. If I played in an organized guild team, this would be a pretty easy mission. I guess the main complaint is that getting an organized team together is too difficult for this mission.

Vent doesn't necessarily mean that only guildies would have it, the software itself is public access just like TS, you just need to find someone with a server. I was in a pug yesterday whose leader had a vent server they opened up for use, and that made doing the mission 100x easier. Especially for the elite missions, freeing your hands to play the game versus communication is nearly required.
I've noticed that the biggest problem with pugs is that people can't realize that when someone starts giving out locations and what people need to do, they're not being "I'm better than you so I have to give the orders" necessarily, they just know how to make the mission easier for everyone involved. I've done the deep several times with this setup, and it really does make life so much easier for the group.

Do you know how retarded that sounds? Might as well get rid of all items, armor, runes etcetc since some people suck too much to get any of it.
Bottom line, if you work hard and spend more time in any game, you will be experienced, stronger or richer than a person that barely played.
Expecting stuff to be handed to you just because you paid for the game makes you sound jealous and lazy. Go play super mario brothers or something if you really feel what you said was right.
People do not play games like GW and expect to be powerful by playing casually. It's a progressive game where time spent and experience gained yields more rewards. What you want is a checker board with all the pieces in front of your face.
