The Veil of Darkness is Lifted!
The following was found recently in a dig near Kryta:
Quote:
...and when I woke this morrow, I took a walk to the local merchant to acquire some food for my family. I, of course, guilded myself generously against the evil hoards of Dervish and Paragon, having lost many a friend over the past three days.
Upon gazing at my beloved Kryta, though, I observed no darkness! Somehow, the great Balthazar had purged this ugly darkeness from our land! Not since the days of Saul D'Allesio has life been so dire here in Kryta. Praise be to Balthazar for removing this scourge from our homeland. Now the healing can begin!

the "evil" hords of Dervish and Paragon? I think Anet has a lack of consistency... either that, or that NPC should be killable.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Witness Casori" a member of White Mantle? If so, it would make sense as to why he would be calling the Dervish and Paragons 'evil'. Cursed White Mantle...

Moral relativism. Each has their own goals that probably contradicts one another, so each probably finds the other to be despicable. Possibly in part because of religious differences - The White Mantle worship false gods, while the Paragons and Dervishes are holy warriors, and Dervishes are especially connected to the old gods.

The Tablets of Janthir often contain relevant information pertaining to other lands and writers, including allusions to The Shadow of Leaves.
Mayhap you've seen the White Mantle Ritualists, and the drop of Scythes?

Where?
What area?
I am not saying its untrue im trying to locate the source. Witness Casori is in the Gates of Kryta and I could not find it there. Is it somewhere near the missions area? More information would be useful.

For the record, I posted my little story with tongue firmly in cheek. I'm just glad that we're past the 'Weekend of the Dervish' and we can move on with our regularly-scheduled programming.

Hmmm...Also notice how in the Nightfall story line that there will be a great evil spreading across Elona...Maybe the White Mantle's "unseen" god will make an appearance....

what would be nice is terminating the charr threat characters have passed through all of tyria and most of cantha if not all and still have not solved the trouble in their homeland, last day dawns is a good follow-up to ascalons situation but the charr is still there.
I'd like to see the future of ascalon.
on topic thats a good find maby theres more around about the dervish maby in the UW some new ghosts.

Crimso, i was JUST thinking about that earlier today! i think there should be a conclusion to the Charr threat. maybe an update liek Sorrows Furnace, but with actual missions, and you could only do it after you beat Prophecies

I hear from the Scribe that one of the Provinces of Elona borders the Crystal Desert. I wonder if Ascension will be back in the Desert . . ..

Elona can't be out of reach of the char hordes can it? Maybe at the end of the game when you defeat who ever the main villan is (I think it;ll be some ott chap who's main ability despite gain supreme power is to teleport you somewhere as a minor inconvenience) you'll be celebrating then the char will run in and massacre everyone, this setting up guild wars 4: Return of the char.

Not necessarily.
From what little information I've read here on the boards, The black winged enemies in the Nightfall OffScreen Preview is supposed to be a corrupted form of Paragon(confirmed in another thread here). The Dervish could have also been affected by the "Darkness" of sorts.
It also says that "Balthazar" purged the lands, which means whatever was causing the darkness was locked away or defeated. Which is most likely the outcast God. But it comes back in Chapter 3.

Does it strike anyone else that Witness Casori, a White Mantle member, is praising Balthazar for purging the darkness? You would think he would assume it was the work of the Unseen Ones.... Do the White Mantle acknowledge the existence of the other gods, as it seems here, or do they solely worship the Mursaat?

I think some people missed the second post by Denny Pace. Moderators please close this thread as it was a hoax to begin with.

Just because it's a hoax doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with it.
