Well after that bomb shell Id just like to say the biggest jerk I met was the other day! I saw him spamming in Lions arch about ELF ------ ------ was a big scammer over and over again. 25 mins late and Im in droks and there he is spamming away. Now the guild I am in has the little tag of ELF so I wondered what he was shouting about (following a whisp from someone saying 'your in elf whats he on about'. Anyway I asked him what was up a few times until he called me a noob then a few other obscenities. Well having just finished reading the thread No more noob I just called him a sock monkey rapist and hoped he had fun playing the game. Alls well that ends well

Here's one after a long observation in the place I hang out:

For the past couple of weeks or months, this person (jerk) comes into this town and harass a well-known respected guild that helps out the community. Almost everyday he goes there to be a pest to each member of the guild and being disrespectful. His reasons for pesturing this guild because they help out the community and they show respect and appreciation to the employees of Anet.
That is why he has a problem with them.

Also, to be more of an annoyance to the guild, he made a one-man guild of his own that has the same tag and cape design as the guild he is bothering.

He even claimed that the guild were a bunch of losers for just hanging in this town and supposely "a**kissing" Anet. When in actuality, they go there to socialize and show appreciation whenever an employee of Anet drops by. Truth is, he's the loser (and jerk obviously) for logging on everyday to pesture the guild just because they help the community and he thinks it's fun to be an annoyance to them.

I think most of the people in this town has him on ignore and so do I, first person to be on my ignore list. If he's so bothered by what they do, then he should just leave them alone, go away and never interact with them.

The other night I was trying to do Hell's with my Ele and some jerkoff was harassing a pair of AFK albiet sitting female characters in the outpost. It was sick and disgusting.

Is there a limit to the number of people you can ignore? A lot of the types of people you guys are talking about who are being irritating or obscene I just put on Ignore right away. I don't say anything to them, I don't respond, I just hit N, copy their name in, and it's done.

Combine that with the fact that I ignore anybody who repeatedly uses non-trade channels for buy/sell requests (except in de-facto trade areas like LA/1, Drok's/1, and AC/1), and I have quite a list going.

Anyway, I haven't actually contributed my biggest jerk, but it has to be this guy:

I joined a Frost Gate team with the understanding that we were doing both mission + bonus. Myself and at least two others in the team all made it a point to say to everyone "don't trigger the bonus until we clear the path ahead".

So we get to the Dryder cave, I remind everyone again not to talk to the dwarf inside, and clear it, and I see this one necro running toward the dwarf. I desperately type out a "DON'T TALK TO THAT DWARF!" and start drawing big Xs across that location on the map. A few other people are freaking out too, but he doesn't listen.

Right after, half the team just quits because we're a lower level group. Me, another warrior, and the necro decide to try and go ahead. He runs into the damn blast pit and dies, the warrior aggros a bunch of guys and dies, and I managed to draw most of them into the blast pit, kill them, and I barely live.

I rez the warrior who is like F--- it and refuses to rez the necro who screwed us up.

Guy maps out and starts cussing ME out because he pissed everyone else off. Well, we die in the mission right after and when I get back this guy is STILL cussing me out until I ignore him.

All that said, I haven't had that much trouble with griefers in GW, save the handful of idiots who are always spamming a chat channel somewhere with stupidity.

I had a bunch like that in ToA, they where 7/8 and blindinvited my Nekro. Since I hadn't anything to do, i accepted, curious what they wanted to do. We went into Fissure rather fast, they never asked what I was playing. But once the bonder started bonding they asked if I hadn't br, and I told them "no, I'm playing curses, but you might have asked befor we got in, if I could bring it." they got all angry, telling me they specificly asked for a supportnekro. Well, not me, thats for sure, and I told them so

. Well, we didn't get very far anyways...

God I had the worst encounter ever in LA the other night. In keeping with the policy of not posting names I won't. We'll just call him Fred. Anyway our friend Fred kept spamming over and over and over and over." What did update do?" constantly. While my normal inclination is to snap at someone like that I decided to be nice for once. I said." Go to www.guildwars.com and look under about and then game updates and it will tell you." He then procedded to inform me " I already looked there dilhole[sic](that's right dilhole as in Beavis and Butthead and note the spelling) and all that was there was a bunch of crap." Anyway, I go look it up and tell h im" Well according to the notes they have they updated the log in screen to make it easier to add new accounts and keys and they fixed a sound bug. It was all right there on the page." to which he replied." F*ck you my friend read it to me over the phone." Before he said he had read it. At this point I was out of patience and I said." So now the guy starts IMing me and saying" Stupid little 12 yr old. Go be a jerk on some other game. you take this too seriously." I just put him on ignore. The minute someone starts bringing age into things as an insult they have to be a kid. I'm a little old to be in a fight with a kid. Still kid or not being a jerk knows no age.

He and one of his buddies created an account on the guild's home GW forum to troll their posts a couple of days ago. They were banned in about an hour. If only Anet could be so speedy.

I've actually noticed that a large portion of the asswipes are adults, not specifically GW ofc, but it is in no way directly related to age.

He didnt like my build and i asked him why "I sucked" and this was his proof

i was waiting to get a thirsty river run when i saw a guy "selling the best mesmer staff in the game, 15k" I ask him to see it and it was Gorells Staff. I told him that it was only worth around 1k, its very hard to sell. He told me to shut the F*** up and said that he was trying to scam people. I thought that was a bold idea....

I just got finished doing the co-op mission at Ascalon. This b**** ordered everyone to skip the movies. I hadn't seen them and I wanted to know what happened. I mean, I did pay for the game, and I'm not playing just to kill things. After I didn't skip the first, she told me I was a "Piece of shit". I told her why I didn't skip. I didn't get angry, didn't curse, I just told her that I wanted to know. She tells me that if this was my first time and I'm lvl 12 that I'm a pathetic noob. She goes on saying that I probably get that alot. I kept my cool and just waited thill it was over, and she kept going on and on about it till it was over.

I'm getting second thoughts about this game. No one I play with seems to care about anyone but themselves, I help out people new to the game (well, newer than me). I sometimes give out my extra weapons I've found to newer players, sometimes other things, I answer question, help with the occasional quest (if I can). They're all arrogant jerks that are full of themselves and/or they want to steal all your stuff.... this game is starting to suck....

Of course theres no arguing with these kinds of people, Guild Wars doesnt offer much for the guy who just wants to kick back and have some fun. Everyone thinks only for themselves and it's starting to bother me. I wish I could try another game but I can't afford it. I worry that idiots like jerk will eventually scare away all the new players who try to play the game. It seems to be a pattern that every mmo follows. I think we should all concentrate on helping these new players. Some friends of mine recently got into GW and helping them out has been the most fun I've had in game in a long time. I think if you stop thinking all about getting the most money or the coolest armor the game instantly becomes a better experience. That's why I've decided ill be keeping my factions accound separate from my prophecies account. I'm going to play guild wars factions in the name of good clean fun, not money.
