I'm a sensitive person. For a sensitive person, thats a hard thing to admit but I have the security of knowing that nobody actually knows me and can't make viable judgements as a result. If you get bothered by people with their elitism and 'bullying', just think to yourself, "Thank God I didn't turn out like that." Who knows who the other person is: I bet it isn't that sexy ranger on your screen but some 12 year-old pre-pubescent kid on Ritolin. If any assholes really get you down, just think, if thats the worst thing that has happened to you this week, you're a lucky person. I believe that the rate in which a person bullys or intimidates people is directly proportional to his/her own insecurity and I know that my life is better than theirs.
Smile on

To put it simpily, no.
I know you are thinking the unclaimed item screen that pops up when you finish a mission and when you are in town, but in my case, I am just going through a portal within a mission.
Additionally, the unclaimed item screen is designed for people who did not get a chance to get the drop while the movie starts, but in my case, the rather low valued player ran through to the portal by chioce, rather then by the game design, so it would not allow me to enjoy the comfort of the uncalimed items screen.

My first ever experience of a jerk in GW was when I was admittedly a newbie and trying to sell whites in public. I recieved 2 whisps...
1: "sell them to the merchant buddy"
Me: "thanks"
1: "np"
But then a couple of seconds after..
2: "NOBODY WANTS YOUR SHIT!" (repeatedly)
Me: *ignore*
Why can't everybody just be kind and well mannered?

I was running a Hex spam mesmer (mantra of persistance) in Random Arena. I was with a grp of 2 wammos, and a ranger. Amazingly we made it past the first battle. It lasted 12 minutes becuase they had a boon prot.
Anyway, the conversation runs on from that point.
Ranger: Can you all please attack the monk
Me: Erm, no.
Ranger: Why not?
Me: Becuase i am hex spam, and principle anti-warrior (i had snares)
Ranger: Good pvp players are all rounders
Me: WTF, that is BS
Me: Its best to specialise. What if a protection monk decided he wanted to do healing and smiting as well, and bring some traps along for a laugh.
*match continues*
Ranger: What do you know, you have to be a allrounder to be good at Random Arena.
Me: nub...
Ranger: Yeah, a 7,000,000 XP nub, and a Necro with FoW.
Me: That doesnt make you a good GW player, it makes you a 55 necro
*at this stage i died. Being the only softy in the grp, and having no healing (not even the wammos could spare me) this is fairly unsurprising. Ranger and wammos continue to fight on, without rezzing
Ranger: See, you died like a noob
*i get rezzed by wammo*
Me: /fame
Ranger, so what, fame doesnt mean anything
*we lose*
Ranger: You made us lose you noob
Makes me want to tear my hair out and never play RA again. The next battle i went into consisted of 2 55hp monk. I didnt play RA again for about 2 weeks.

Because of simple ignorance and lack of life experience to realise that nobody likes assholes.

Not really a jerk story but good for a laugh.
So, I'm standing around in Great Northern Wall helping someone farm the end of the mission for Charr hides I'm a W/Mo female and I get this random whisper.
Him: talk dirty to me
First thing I do is 'lol' in guild and reply with...
Me:You smell like a fresh daisy.
Him: talk dirty to me while i jack off
Him: plz
Me: Maybe you should go get some porn.
Him: its not the same
Him: so will you
Me: No! Go find a chat room.
Him: why not
Me: Maybe because I play MMO's for the game, not to get my thing on.
After that he vanished

Nha... the really biggest jerks are the ones who calls you a noob.
Jerk, wanted to know the price for a 20/18 sundering hilt and he didnt do offers.
So i wrote a PC in general chat on it, and jerk calls you a noob.
What has that with a noob to do? that you do not know the price on an item you just got out of a weap.

My first jerk assassin in D'alession seaboard mission for Bonus only
R/Mo (Leader and doesnt what /A means. I told him its assassin (Dont know Faction so I said myself its a newbie))
R/A: Me
A/Mo: Jerk
Mo/Me
W/Mo
W/A
We started and got I lag, so everyone was at the bridge from the start in a middle of a fight when I log in. I run to them, do Return to the monk and Death Charge in the fight. After defeating the mobs
R/Mo: Have you teleported
Me: Yeah
W/A: Nice steps to get us
A/Mo: Pff. nothing but shadow BS steps
We continue to the village.
R/Mo: ok we must protect the bonus guy
Me: hurry, warr boss
Me, W/A do Death Charge to the boss to get him quickly. The boss died and we saw the assassin arrive after that.
Me: do you have some ShSt on you A/Mo?
A/Mo: no I hate SA
Kill all the mobs and the bonus add in quest list
W/A: Y you havent?
A/Mo begin to argue its bullshit that only Dagger Mastery is good.
I havent notice yet but he had a monk a enchantment on him (know by the symbol which it turn around him.
Whisper to Mo/Me: do you have put an enchantment on him
Mo/Me: no
We continue normally and when we arrive at the temple, he started to fight far away from us and die eventually(outside the temple).
A/Mo: "/$%%& Mending shit!!1!
Me: Wha? you use mending?
A/Mo: STFU NOOB /A!!! IM BETTER THAN TANK
Warriors feel targeted and argue against him
Me: ok.... we saw a dead assassin with mending
A/Mo: YOU A NOOB ASSHOLE!!1!
W/A: Well, assassin aren't tank
A/Mo: OMFMGZ!1!! YOU'RE ALL NOOB. THEYRE TANKZ
A/Mo: BETZER THAN WAMMO
Me: You're are just an Ammo
Me: thinkink you're godly with mending
Me: Which they're only 5 gods in GW
Team: lol
A/Mo: F***ING NOOBZOR
Me: just... shut up
A/Mo left the party
W/Mo: OMG, we lost a jerk! We're safe!
End
Moral in this story: Watch out for Ammo with mending and thinking they're better tanking than Wammo. Wammo of Cantha is Ammo now.

Not a total jerk but a moron and leech.
Ring of fire, 3 Mo,2W,2E , Me . 2 of the monks 1 Ele and 1 W are guildies.
The 3rd monk decides to go smiting so 2 healers .
And then just at the beginning, the other Ele (not guildi one) begins to die. Looked like he's being spiked. (oh well, the terms of spike in PvE has changed a bit since Factions). So actually, no matter how fast you are , he begins to die. I act proactly and cast Prot-spirit just at the begining of each figth. Nothing.
Eventually we decided to let him die, since we have troubles with one of the W aswell, with very low dp and not infused.
Ok, nothing unexpected here. you wonder how the hell has this guy reached rof but well, this mission is easy if things are done properly. We had (thanks god ) a good Warrior, and another good Ele, and the Mesmer was dealing a good amount of dmg aswell (the 3rd monk, the smiter, left eventually). So still doable
What makes this guy a jerk is his continuously spam of "i'm dead, rezz me", all the time and since he died just at the beggining of each fight, despite we said him to stay way behind. No way, he spamed and spamed. Of course , when asked to ping his health he didn't say anything. Jezz.
He eventually helped us to kill the final boss , a Mursaat Monk, not before he died 3 times in that fight. The monk did me 20 dmg + the Mursaat especial spell (don't remember the name), with droknars standard 60 armor , but seems that t it was enough to "spike" that guy. Blimey

So, I get to the second Team mission in Factions today, and there's not enough people in town to make a group. Yeah, less than 8 people in town. I just kinda idle when a group comes in and wanders around for a bit, when one of the Warriors starts blind inviting people. Including my Ranger. Normally, I wouldn't touch that kind of blind invite with a stick, but I'm feeling saucy and take the invite.
We end up with 3 Wammos, 2 random casters, and 2 hench healers with me on the side. I had forgotten that this was the mission where melee was a bad thing, but I was still skilled for melee (yes, melee Ranger. With a sword). I tell the group, after they ask me to interrupt, that I'm melee. And, for the first time in MONTHS I get accused of being a n00b because of this. By one of the wammos. When there wasn't enough people in the D to make a full party. I explain to this one idiot that I know what I'm doing, but he won't hear any of it (ond some other random idiot wasn't helping the matter), so I stop trying to fight it. Yeah, I've got a bow still, and I've got the right skills, give me a sec to reskill slightly and we can be on our.... ok, why are we in the mission now? I explain that I hadn't had a chance to reskill, as I was defending myself from the asshat. To which I'm told I'm the idiot for not telling them when the counter was going (I didn't even see the timer). W/E, I just go with it anyway. This is my first time, I'm allowed to make mistakes.
We didn't even clear the first portal. Our group got toasted by not haveing anywhere near enough firepower to take out anything. I also noticed that of the 4 melee characters we had, I was one of only 2 that seemed to know how to follow a called target (no, the whammo that called me a n00b was not the other one). We got owned by a spike of exploding Afflicted and find out that our Kurzik buddies were already dead. Mission failed in record time.
We get back to town and I bail fast. I'd had enough of that group and just wanted out. While I'm conversing via whisper in the same town, said asshat whammo calls me a "n00b Ranger" in local chat AGAIN. Like, I needed the reinforecement. I switched over to International districts and tried to put this guy out of my mind.
Then I tried again with all hench in my party and a synced entrance on the Kurzik side, all hench. We got past 3 barriers (me using the exact same build) in one try. I'm sure that with a bit better target selection at the begining, the 2 of us could have taken that mission.
Yeah, so obviously I'm the n00b here. Because I can think outside my little box.
...Now I remember why I wouldn't touch that kind of blind invite with a stick. That's where the jerks that I avoid are.

They just make me laugh, especially the whinging, ranting kind.
I'm a monk, so in general I don't really care about jerks / noob / congenital idiots. I just don't heal and rez them, then they leave, and it's all good. If they start messing about when team forms, I just leave and find another group. Plenty of job offers for monks
The worse thing you can do is engage in a 'conversation' with them. I just ignore them, works a treat.
Note that I don't mind a couple of noobs in a team, as long as they just don't get offensive (good noob vs bad noob kind of dilema). Can be fun sometimes, especially the time I defeated Glint with 4 clueless players, no mesmer / interrupter, and the protection hench.

I don't mind noobs--everyone is new once, but I hate it when they don't listen when you give them advice, i.e, you've done the mission 5 times, they've never done it, but they run on in anyway while you're screaming "WAIT!"
I've seen plenty of jerks, including being scammed my first two weeks playing out of 20k, by someone who was supposedly selling a GW account key. I didn't know any better, so I didn't screen shot or anything. In the end I blame myself for being stupid, but people who prey on noobs are uber jerks, because noobs don't know any better.
AS for jerks, one of my favorite chars is a monk, and although I think monk strikes are dumb, I get really tired of being accused of not healing or letting W/Mo's die when I'm calling out that I have 2 energy with no time to regen: WTF?! NO HEAL? YOU SUCK!--at least I get the satisfaction of leaving the party when it gets too bad. I'm not normally a leaver, but if they're all going to be jerks, I know I can always get another party because I'm a monk.
One of my favorite jerks was when I was in SF one day preparing to farm with my ele (back when they could get into groups). No monks were around, and people were paying monks to join their groups. Our group gets a monk (not paying, of course), and I make a comment about how the other groups were paying for monks and weren't we lucky to get one. The leader of the group--a tank, who hadn't spoken at all since I joined the group, whispers to me: "WTF are you doing? STFU." I respond back to him, totally confused, "What are you talking about?" He responds again, "Just STFU, you noob or I'll kick you." It took me a few seconds to realize he was talking about paying the monks, like our monk was going to demand payment, because I mentioned it. Unless the monk was BLIND, there was no way he was going to miss all the spamming in local. I just couldn't believe how nasty the tank was. Even if he was worried about paying the monk, he could have been a little nicer about it. I was so upset, I almost quit, but it didn't matter--we died before we even made it down the hill, which was just fine with me.

Not an original one but heh !
I was with a guildmate, and we created a PUG. Our goal was clear, Mission + Bonus, and everybody seemed to agree.
We start the mission, take the pig and bring it to his owner, now we have to the sunked boat and to fight the though shadows in the area.
But only then, the rest of the group but one monk decided to ignore the bonus completely, saying that they already have done it.
Wow...
They decided to separate from us and do the rest of the mission, with no monk. They told us they'll finish the mission before we'll beat the bonus, how we should come with them because we will get ripped appart without tanks.
My monk, my Elem guildie and the other monk, then decided to do the damn bonus on our own.
So we're down there to the ship and then the two shadows appear.
We have an elem for a tank.
The shadows are like, 5-6 lvl higher.
At this point, the rest of the team died in horrible sufferings, and was yelling at us to go rez them. They were insulting us because we were doing he bonus... as planed. That we backstabbed them... ect ect.
And now they were forced to see us fight these powerful shadows with no tanks.
After coordinated constant healing with the other mon, we killed the shadows good and beated the bonus and then we proceded to finish the mission, without rezing the others, who most quitted at this point.
One elem, two monks alone to beat the mission. We humiliated them.

Good one... i have also heard that one about other char. types myself am a W/Mo... which can stand much, BUT if it get hard, I NEED ether dmg maker or healer, cant do both at same time as fast as we should do and thats just the way it is.
And other thing, when agreed to make bonus you do bonus, else dont go with the team that do bonus.
