i rez anyone who is down. if anyone opposes it i just dont respond. i usualy turn off whispers and local if they start saying stuff. and then dont pay attetion too team stuff

but i always rez the mesmers first if we are fiting a team w/ another monk or ele on it. wanna know y? like roza said "backfire kills"

They updated the EULA recently didn't they? Seeing that Anet pay attention to what we want I hope it says "Don't be a jerk" somewhere down the list.

If Anet decided to ban every player that is a jerk or likes to behave as one, they would lose A LOT of customers.

Though the game would be more enjoyable for a lot of other players. Still, in a game, you need adversaries, and jerks are more formidable adversaries than lvl 28 bosses.

What would be an idea is to have a player 'rating' statistic, expressing to what extent players are cooperative players, perhaps determined by a lot of factors, one of which would be the number of times the player has left a party with other players if not the leader (the leader leaving first allowing the rest of the party to leave without affecting this score). Other factors could be included as well, and might be changed by Anet from time to time (the exact factors determining this should be kept secret by Anet). A new emote could be added to the game: /rating, showing a little glowing circle above the head of a player with a very high rating (a goody-goody character that rarely leaves a party etc.) and two little glowing horns growing if the rating is very low. Maybe they could make it so that if a player leaves due to an error, they will not incur a negative score here (but keep the exact mechanics for that hidden). Leaving a party ociasionally should not have much effect, but leaving consistently should. And other factors could be included as well, though I cannot think of any atm (maybe banned temporarily for bad behaviour or character names should net you a big negative score).

Just a thought.

Lol heres my jerk story. I was in the random arenas today and as a courtesy I always wish the other team good luck. One of my teammates said, "you loser luck is for the weak!"

To which I replied, "Well good cuz I am weak."

I was playing my mesmer so it was true.

He then said something about how you should beat opponents with skill and not luck. And I said I would take what I could get.

He then cursed me out, not sure what he said because I have the swear filter all the way up. Said how he only plays with tough players and bye. Then left!

meh. i went to Uw with 3 other rangers including myself ( 4 man trap team)
we all happened to die except for Zebulon Fletcher. a monster drops an ecto, he waits it out and picks it up. he basically stole my ecto. so yeah i guess i act as a bigger jerk. through out the rest of the trip, i kept deleting the spirits. i would put up QZ while there was another QZ so the spirits would delete each other. then i caused a lot of agro. sitll not done though. i keep causing more agro and get some of them killed xD it was fun

I've been doing "Defend the Wall" today and I've had an ele kid who was trying to "indirectly" tell us that he was using.... (hold your seats)...... A SUPERIOR FIRE RUNE (goes for a killer price of around 5k) !!!!!!!!!111111

At least I think that's what he was trying to tell us because he started with: "How much dmg. you guys are doing with 1 attack ?" When no one responded he said something like "I can do 100 and with Pheonix I can do around 200", "LOL 2 kills in 1 attack", "LOL 125 damage".
After failing to impress us he finally said "I have 11 Fire Magic, LOL" and he called me a "Silly little noob" when I told him that we don't really give a f**k...

Scary...

i have to say i have had my share of those wonderful people were talking of, but i half expected that-simple game (like WoW) and its free? there will be people like that. i play EQ2 as well, its been called a more mature game with more mature players, and there are people like that there too, theyre just older.

best thing to do is ignore them *nods*

I have a shitty pc im not afraid to admit that, and i t usually takes 3-5 minutes to load the map when im traveling with a group of non NPC's, so i was like:

Ya I tend to try not to acknowledge other people if they are stupid. I just ignore them or leave....so in turn that makes me a jerk I guess. I think we're all jerks in someone's eyes.

I have encounted lott of jerks, but must say also met lott of nice people.
It's just like in real life

But once one player keeps fallowing me asking to give him gold, crafting material, weapons etc..And it was all but a polite request, it was more like:"Give me! GiVe ME!U ShiiiTTT!!!GIVE ME SOme MonEY!!MotHerFUCCKeR!!HeLP Me GIVE ME aLL U GoT!...real sick..

After i politely told him i don't have anything to give him and to stop swearing, he started to jell in all channel:my name-don't trade with him!He's fooling ppl!He's scaming ppl!Run away from him!He is rotten idiot!...and so on...
That was long time ago, and luckily the only major jerk incident i had.

One day I was playing in the random arena's and we had a pretty strong team. then suddenly all my team left! For no reason. I was quite annoyed so I just started running. The other tmea couldnt kill me atall, whatever they tried to do. One of them started shouting abuse at me saying that I have no skill whatsoever and things like that and that he had reported me for running! I continued to run and laughed at the one that was constantly shouting abuse and not trying to help his team atall. Then he started saying things about my mum! After some perticularly offensive comments I said, "Congratulations you have just been reported!

" He then started swearing some more and then left. Well the match continued for 59 minutes. About 45 minutes of which were just him swearing for his life. I didnt really report him, just wanted to see what he would do. Yes I know I was being a jerk for running for almost an hour, but hey! It was fun

P.S I went on to win the match alll by myself
