Well, it's just the small thing that an atribute line is maxed out at 16, not 12 . Besides ranger's expertise helps them to cut down on energy needed to use their skills so they can cast them more often, thus doing more damage than your W/R. I have to admit I'm also not happy to see casters attacking with swords (except IW mesmers), Warriors casting firestorms, rangers with swords, warriors with bows or focus items and similar weird builds in my groups . But, of course, if they're trying to do their part and not being arrogant, that's not a reason to be jerk towards them .

The biggest jerk comes in one general category....rude people. Everyone that I know purchased this game to be entertained by it, and part of that entertainment comes from interaction with other players. A majority of the time, in PUGs mostly, other players act with proper decorum, but every once in a while, the dreaded "jerk" rears his/her ugly head. Being called a "noob" or any one of several derogatory terms always puts a damper on what's going on. There are the people who cheat the runner or the runner who cheats the paying customer, and in both cases, the game is lessened by it. I don't know where their parents went wrong, but the players who willfully ruin the game for others, should be ashamed.

PUG stands for Pick Up Group.
My jerk story happened in Dunes of Despair.
We had a W/N who was going on and on about how my W/E sucks because I have no energy to casts spells.
He also had the ghostly hero following him.
So when you get up to the first siege wurm he is standing there spamming "Life Siphon" while everyone in the group is telling him to move closer to the bridge so the ghostly hero can cast "Claim Resource".
Then he starts complaining that he knows what he is doing and after finally killing the stupid siege wurm he runs off past the bridge and proceeds to run around aimlessly for the next minute or so.
Everyone proceeds to tell him off and I feel sorry for the poor bugger and decide to defend him saying he probably hasn't done this mission before (which in truth he hasn't).
After which we get all settled and move along he decides to start asking why I have a girl's name as my in character nick and doesn't shut up about it. So after a verbal assualt between me & him over team chat he leaves.
I don't know I've meet plenty of stupid rangers and necros in my time, but what would I know I'm a stupid tank that can't protect them since they decide to call and proceed to attack the casters at the back before I can draw all the aggro.
Anyone have problems with people who are really impatient when you are trying to discuss group tactics when heading down to FoW or UW?
I don't mind it but it kind of sucks when you have 4 out of 8 people left after a mass exodus occurs due to the party not having 3 monks or some other really stupid reason.

My jerk experience:
Br*n Heavyf**st: (some of you may know this player, and I've seen him reported on other forums) - we were doing The Villainy of Galrath, and he appeared to be AFK. We thought since he was a lvl20 W/Mo, this whole thing would be easier with him. Anyways, we had a good group, a couple deaths and rezzes, but managed to make it to Galrath with the remaining people. (Br*n was near the beginning of the zone). So, in team channel, we began to discuss our tactics to kill Galrath. We proceeded to start fighting, and next thing we notice - Br*n had zoned us out before we could start the fight (because Galrath is relatively easy, and goes down quickly).
Everyone was really po'ed. I was pretty mad too, after wasting about an hour. We could have fought back to galrath, but I bet he would have done the same thing again.
There needs to be an option to somehow "vote" or "kick" a player out of the party. Things like that are inexcusable, and really ruin the game for us.
Well ... I hope several of you guys recognize the name. And I hope no one has the unfortunate experience of partying with him. I also read about how he joins FoW groups, appears AFK till everyone dies, and runs around collecting drops afterwards.

Had another one yesterday. wont mention names but these 2 individuals lead teams that win halls a lot. General rule is when the ghostly caps the central alter in halls, he stays there. well theres a bug where u can run him off the alter by talkign to him again. I had both of these teams exploiting this and then would run their hero away while everyone was fighting, thus making it to where there ghostly couldnt be found, nor could yours cap. people i used to have respect in pvp for, i no longer have because they sunk to that level. Guess people will do anything to win a game.

another jerk story...
i have a new monk (my 4th char) and we're doing the D'Alessio Seaboard Mission. My boyfriend has a new monk too - so we decided to team up. It took a while to get a team, and 1/4th of the way through we had a ranger drop. No big. There were a few dye drops on this mission, and suddenly my BF gets an orange dye. One of the group starts spamming in team chat for my BF to give him the dye. Everyone ignores him, we're at the Shrine of Mending and there's incoming groups. My BF tells me (on TeamSpeak) that the guy is just standing there, and lo and behold, he's just hanging out at the shrine while the rest of us are fighting. I tell him in team chat that if he starts fighting, and works at the mission that i'll give him some dye when i leave. (I intended to do it...) then the PMs start from him, asking me how much i have, what will i give him, where did i get it, how many will i give him, etc., etc.... i tell him in team chat that it's sad that i have to bribe him to do a mission and he PMs "LOL". I put him on the ignore list right away and mapped out of town after we finished. I know it was rude, but damn it.
and i HATE it when people draw male anatomy on the little radar map. gah! Grow UP! maybe one day you'll get to use yours!
