GB only works up to your max hps, meaning you would need gargantuan max health to do that kind of damage. Possible I suppose.

I've taken 12244 with the catapult under Greater Conflag, Armor of Frost, Frenzy, and Healing Signet. But now that you mention a +15/-10 while attacking weapon, I think it's time to get 13000+ damage.

I could be wrong, but I think armor doesnt go below 0.. if it does, would armor penetration decrease the damage dealt on a target with >0 armor?

It does, and dunno. But Weaken Armor is physical, and GC converts to fire damage. More armor is lost with Frost than with Weaken.

As I read the question, I was thinking you wanted to know what was the most amount of damage that could be done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Grenth's Balance does not do damage. In which case, we can have a wonderfully entertaining thread about critical hits and compariing different levels and such.

Life steal isnt 'damage' but it can still kill you. Fits my definition in the generic sense pretty well as per game mechanics of damage.
