Default Anet only want you to play Warrior or Ranger in Hero's Ascent

I'm posting this here becuase the Guild Wars website doesnt provide an email address to tell Anet what you think, they just fobb you off with "official fan sites" and this is the most well known.

I spend most of my time playing in Hero's Ascent and have done for as long as ive played GW. This is my conclusion on HA based on the people who want to play balanced builds. (i.e more than Warrior, Ranger, Necro)

First off remember last year when anet nerfed duel smite becuase it was 'Over Used' and 'Over Powered' although easy to counter? Well nearly a year later we are still stuck with Iway, the most over used skill-less build ever no?
People only play one profession and one build with no skill or co-ordination involved so they can get easy fame. So now that all of the high ranked pug groups are only iway what about the people who want to play the game as it was intended, with different professions?

Ok, Maybe Anet couldnt nerf Iway when it started because they held a championship where they promised not to change any skills so that it could be held on a level playing feild.

6 months later....... go into HA and you play against iway on nearly every map, no nerf.

So maybe Anet couldnt nerf Iway becuase of the volume of people using it, they thought they would lose players? Well atleast it couldnt get any worse could it?

Factions is realised. Order Of Apostasy made. WOW thanks Anet nice BUFF to the most over played skill-less overpowerd build going.

So here we are a year later used to the BS players who only want to play one profession and a Hero's Ascent where you can only get a group if you play a Warrior, Ranger or Necro.

Ohwell, atleast I can say I got Rank11 through playing balanced builds with a mix of profession's.....

"Special weekend event 6 man teams double the fame"

GG Anet give the skill-less people who can only play one profession double fame and make the rest of us who want to play all of the professions suffer with only 6 players. The only builds that will be going around are Vim and Iway and they will be getting twice the fame for playing a build with no skill, no co-ordination and one or two of the 8 profession's.

Oh and thanks for making the fame and rank balanced players earned worth half of what it was. (Even though Iway fame had already ruined it, a r9 Iway player joins your r9+ balanced group to play monk after he had only been pressing C SPACE as a warrior........)

It seems like Anet have realised they cant possibly buff iway anymore, so instead they will just make it so that balanced cant win.

But why? Maybe it has something to do with the 95%+ of American teams who play it which is why they currently have NO favour because it cant hold.
Anet want to shake things up and this is the only conclusion you can think of when you look at how pro-iway Anet is.

This isnt just my opinion, this is what EVERY player who doesnt want to play the 3 uber-buffed mega profession's thinks.

There you have it then. You want to play HA? go make a Warrior, Necro or Ranger cos you aint gonna get a good team otherwise.

One last note to Anet, you keep on doing these special weekends and events and every time you do it makes the game laggy as hell, gives people frequent disconnects and lets all of the old bugs that you "fixed" back into the game. I think the GW gaming community would much prefer it if you sorted this out before these fancy events. What ever happend to the rejoin feature anyway?

I dont know what the admins here are like, if they allow freedom of speech and constructive criticism or if they deem that "flaming" and only allow positive threads to be made. Please reconsider before deleting this post, this post covers what alot of players think, even if they dont normally post on here.

If anybody from Anet actually reads all this, thanks and please do something about it or else there is no point bringing all these new profession's to the game becuase they wont get used. This has the basis of an awsome game and just a few tweaks would make it so.

You do realize that IWAY suffers from the 6 man limit as well, right? That alone will cripple them.

I got all my fame from being a Ritual Lord. Not everything is IWAY.

(I also find your user name ironic, Tombs player)

Ok I tried reading your post and I cant understand you. I sort of picked up a few sentences ranting about IWAY but I cant decipher the other stuff. What exactly is your explaination for the statement that ANET only wants us to play warriors and rangers?

Smite didn't get hit with the nef bat, it got tickled with the nerf bat.

This seems like a whine thread.

Its not a whine, more of a suggestion to anet thread.

It seems like the only people who post here are Iwayer's or PvEers and Anet dont get to see what people who want to play HA with balanced think.

As a ranger I have trouble finding a group, it's much easier as a mesmer or monk. I think you're just unlucky or only lose to IWAY. Learn how to counter it, learn to kill even if they have 10 regen. It is possible, IWAY does run out and it is beatable, that's why they don't hold halls.

As for r9 wars changing characters and monking for you, yeah, that does happen, that's why rank doesn't really tell you how skilled a person is.

For me, it was just another rant about people that can’t beat IWAY.

OOO yes, and for the record, ANY nicely done balanced build can rip IWAY apart, as well as blood spikes, dual smiters, triple smiters, and the list go on...

The reason why Anet haven’t nerfed it any further (it had been some updates that made iway weaker, like the eoe one) its because its not necessary. YES, iway is an easy to pick / cookie cutter build, perhaps the biggest one in GW, but still, the game is about skill, and I am sorry to say EVERY SINGLE TIME you got beated by iway wasn’t their fought, it was yours because iway is not that hard to counter

Latter.

Ok, i love how you decide to bash on iway, like most ignorant people do. While i agree that lots of iway being run today is very cookie cutter and does not take much skill to run, but you cant just go and say that all iway takes no skill. i run with a very high ranked guy who does nothing but iway, and we constantly are trying to figure out new ways to run things, new professoins and skills to add in. i am really just sick of people saying iway is for noobs yadda yadda. Not just any random iway can get to halls and win. ANY decent team in HA can demolish iways that do nothing but run the fotm iway build. When we run and make it to halls and win, night after night, please tell me i have no skill? i have run in one of those pug iway groups, and let me tell you, there is no coordination, no form of anything really. How many iway teams do you see winning halls anyways? about 3 guilds and a couple r9 groups a night. So please, when you bash on iway take into consideration the guys who actually make the build stand up to its name. iway is a very shitty build and is very beatable unless given to the right people who actually KNOW how to use the skills correctly and play the game.

edit : If you run balance and cant beat most iway teams that come at you...you are bad. As stated before, most of the iway that is run is crap and can be rolled by any decent team.

I'd like to see the 6 team maps back as well.

As for IWAY, maybe we'd see it less often if more people ran more anti-Iway builds. COUNTER THE BLOODY BUILD IF YOU HATE IT SO MUCH!

to OP,

You want to play balance? go ahead, but please don't complain. Iway is the best pug build there is at this point, pug Iway will beat pug anything most of the time. Do you have skill? gw is a team game. If you hate iway so much, you have two choices, go find some real friends or get in a guild and play a good balance team and beat iway. Or trying to show how good you are playing balance and try to set up a pug balance and get beat by iway pug everyday. But please do not complain.

in HA, as long as my team beats your team, my team is better than your team. It doesnt matter if you feel that my iway team has no skill and just press c space. We still beat your team with perfect ts/vent communication balance/dual smite or whatever. If you want to get better? play more.

iway is the only way for casual pvper without pvp guild/mic/ts/vent, even skill according to you to play in HA. It's the most evolved build. It's the best pug build in HA. Why you want to get rid of it? The only reason I can think of is that you beat iway EVERY SINGLE TIME. Did you do that? for how long?

I never said anything about iway being hard to counter. If i lose to iway there is something wrong with the group, however im annoyed that you get new players starting the game dont get a chnace to play balanced thats the whole point of this thread

No more "you whining because you cant counter iway" posts.
I'm from a guild you would know well, we dont lose to iway.

edit: And my team always rolls IWAY if you know what Dei Victorae is.
