I agree. I also think we should start at Level 1.

I know, I know, no chance to check out Elite skills, yada yada. Look, that's what you buy the game for. A preview should be just that, a hint of what's to come, not access to the later content of the game (IMO of course).

If the PvE is level 20 content again, I might just skip it. I want to be surprised by Nightfall!

There will be a PvE preview event, and you'll find out more about that very soon.

With regards the bonus character slot provided by the Pre-Release package, please be aware that it only becomes active when you add it to an account that has a retail (standard or CE) Access Key. It will therefore not be available during the preview event.

I was hoping the bonus slot would be active for the PvE event, then locked till the retail standard or CE version of NightFall is add to the existing account. Oh well.

This of course would be good marketing, so it's probably true, or close to true. So a week or two after Sept 15th would be about a month before the full release so again it would be nice timing.
I think we've heard many times that that character slot is permanant and acts just like a normal character slot.

I'm guessing it comes availible instantly after the key is added.

Hey, Alex please don't schedule it for the Weekend of Sept 29 - Oct 1.

Because that's my wife's and my Anniversary, and she won't appreciate if I play Guild Wars all the time!

Read Alex's statement again. The bonus slot will not be available for the preview event. Period.

You'll need an empty slot (or open a trial account), if you want access.

I hope too that the PvE pre event will be just the low lvl island. In the Factions PvE pre event i did all quests on both Kurzick and Luxon sides, so i was very dissapointed when the game was officially released because i had already tested half of the game..

Anyway, i am seriously considering not to participate in the PvE event. Maybe i will log in just to see the changes on the skills of both Paragon and Dervish, but nothing else. And im glad im not the only one that will skip the pre event... it makes me feel less "weirdo", LOL

I hope they will do a Pve event for Nightfalls, because although I have the game preorder, it wont arrive till the 30th (Amazon's estimated date)...so i hope they do something to ease the waiting period.

Personally I'm not trusting the date till its eaither up on guildwars.com or in the news pannel on the login screen. Then again the PvE preview will be what I use to decide if I'm buying nightfall or not, if it doesn't happen I'm not buying nightfall. But as the preview is going to be unfinished content, I'm expecting it to be buggy, so bugs won't put me off.

I think we can count on it being the end of September, they seem to be following a similar schedule to Factions.

lol, they better have a PvE event. The thing is supposed to much more focused on PvE after all.
I hope they start us off at level 10 with one hero already for us to custimise.
I'd say thats pretty even.
